Are there requirements to list a home prior to renting?

We received the code to the door a day after the check in time. (Inaceptable, specially with kids) The a/c wasn’t working the first day. The living room furniture was the dirty. The living room lights didn’t work. The kitchen trash can was broken. The refrigerator door wouldn’t close all the way

The house is pretty nice. It’s in a great location very close to the beach. However, there were two major concerns. The first one being that there are cockroaches in the house. I went to them about it and they tried to tell me it was a water bug with jagged legs When anybody knows what a water bottle looks like they don’t have jagged legs so they basically just brush that off and then after a while offer to send to pest control another thing the air conditioner does not work well at all. It was 86 to 88 in the house and impossible to get it to cool down in there other than that the stain was nice. However, there were orange rings on the carpet in one of the bedrooms and some weird gross stuff on one of the pillows but overall it is a nice house if they would just take care of a few things and not blow customers off that spent thousands of dollars to stay there

Cozy

We chose this property because it was super affordable, a relatively close walk to the beach, with a pool and hot tub. The kitchen had the essentials for cooking but lacked basic cooking staples like salt, pepper, olive oil, wash rags, drying rags, dish and hand soap. The reviews we read talked about bugs but we didn’t experience and issues with bugs thankfully! The home had a very cozy feel to it and our kids, 2, 4, 6, 9,12 and teenagers enjoyed their time there as well. I appreciated the beach chairs that were provided. Even better, we learned there was a parking lot a block up from the home. With littles in tow, it really makes a difference! The pool: it’s small but our kids didn’t care, they loved it! We didn’t use the hot tub but once as it’s located at the rear. More positives are the beds. There was a surprise toddler bed, a pullout couch and trundle bed. The mattresses were quite comfy. My husband has a terrible back and was delighted it didn’t hurt his back. On to the negatives: on arrival the house was set to 85 degrees so it was miserable the first few hours but the AC unit they have must be on steroids because it cooled the home relatively quickly. We did have to make a few of our own beds and one queen bed was missing a fitted sheet. The company remedied the sheet situation the next day. We noticed a sewage smell outside and bubbling where the septic was and it took a few days for them to remediate it but They did fix it before checkout.

Spiders and bugs everywhere could not go off on the patios because the spiders would attack

The rugs were filthy.. House had spider and webs everywhere Couldn't enjoy the decks. Spiders every where.Ceilng fans fifty.Air vents fifty.
