"Excellent breakfast, comfy bed and a room with a good temperature and impressive house keeping. I had stupidly left 2 spoons in my room that had been cleared away by housekeeping but they managed to locate them next day!! That’s going the extra mile. The garden wing building isn’t the prettiest but the rooms are refurbed and the grounds of the hotel are nice. Changing rooms are small but for the price it’s a great deal. "

"The stay was fabulous. The Red Lion was simply magnificent, the welcome super, pub ambiance super friendly all in all we will be attending and revisiting again The Red Lion is tucked away, just follow the sign as the place does ooz quality, has its own history which is fascinating its just great. "Absolutely superb in every way; about 4th time we have stayed in 6-7 years, though several upgrades/refurbished areas apparent this visit. Lovely in every way and service excellent. The breakfast display and variety is even better, and the room/bed SO comfortable. The ONLY disappointment is now having to pay £10/night to park on site, especially when occupancy was not full and IHG Holiday Inn at Peartree roundabout charge £6 which location is more understandable to deter city visitors from...
