Everything was new and clean and fresh, A/C and TV worked fine. Staff was perfectly nice and professional. BUT 1) bathroom is a TERRIBLE design and we’re not even big people. I Could only open the door to the shower if i backed up into the area next to the toilet or stepped out the door. And then exiting drips a big puddle of water. It reminded me of a bathroom in a camping trailer. 2) Breakfast was disappointing. The bacon is so paper thin the tongs just instantly crush it; so we had to pick it up with our fingers. Sorry, tried! And we should have made waffles instead of having the “eggs”. Coffee was good snd hot.

The bathroom was fantastic and the shower with its ceiling hung fixture was a massive improvement over most showers in much more expensive hotels. Spacious bathroom as well. Bedroom and living space a little tighter but not bad at all. Two TVs—one in the living/workspace and one in the bedroom. I am more of an app guy so I’d like the option to just use my Prime or Netflix. The hotel is immense for Staunton but of course it was a curiously massive institution as well—especially for 1800s era. One is reminded of the mud flood theories out there. A very nice hotel. Has a nice bistro so no free shittty breakfast. But I say who needs it! I’d rather pay for something well sourced and good tasting. I’ll use the hotel again

The wheelchair accessible bathroom was extremely limiting, the bathtub was not usable, not handicapped friendly. Everything else was good at the hotel.

This was our second time staying here in the last 6 months (last time being in the winter). The outdoor pool/hotub/splash area was not available either time. Also, WIFI continues to be an issue as you must use a MIFI router (upon request) that also does not provide adequate service. Overall, the stay was ok, and proper for a quick weekend recharge, but I couldn’t imagine staying more than a few days with my family.
