On the road to Compton Dando. Taken from the same spot as 1010677 but with a much longer lens. Now we can see the post office tower on Purdown and a few other items. During WWII an anti-aircraft gun was located here which we knew as Purdown Percy. For a close-up see 1022725

At the bottom of Fairy Hill Looking over a folded landscape to Lye Hill, I am told there is a ruined farmhouse at the top. The River Chew flows beyond the first hedge over.

North from the road to Compton Dando Burnett lies to our right, Compton Dando to our left. East Bristol sprawls across the hill.
