Log cabin, hot tub, 3 minutes to Nashville!

Grand Cabin is an authentic log cabin with five spacious bedrooms for guests. The log cabin also has a large hot tub, a private stocked fishing pond, dramatic interior wood finishes, a full kitchen, plenty of bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a pool table. Grand Cabin sits on a secluded 5-acre patch of heaven. An outside fenced-in play structure keeps the kids entertained.

Rural Environment Notice
Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!

Grand Cabin is 1.5 miles from Nashville, 17 miles from Columbus, 15 miles from Indiana University, and 4 miles from Brown County State Park.

All gas fireplaces are seasonal and available for use from October 1st to April 1st.

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES MAY NOT ENTER WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.
Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeeper's tax from 5% to 8%.

Cabin is in a great location, minutes from downtown and also Hard Truth Distillery. Plenty of very comfortable space for our entire extended family. Host was awesome, and very responsive to our questions. Would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend this spot to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Excellent Stay!

The property was well taken care of and everything was labeled. There was no guessing where things were! All rooms were clean and it was very close to town. Will definitely try to stay here again next time I want to visit Nashville.

retirement girls trip

The Grand Cabin in Nashville Indiana was a wonderful cabin to stay in. We had a problem with the shower upstairs and they immediately sent someone over to help. It was peaceful and just a very very nice cabin to stay in. We all just sat and laughed and enjoyed ourselves and the shopping area was really nice.

Small Leadership Team Retreat

This was a perfect location for a quick leadership retreat. We were able to enjoy nearby hiking and enjoy eating/meeting outside and be disconnected from a busy office environment.The property manager was very proactive and easy to communicate with.

Family Reunion

The cabin is great! Its clean and big and only 1.5 miles from DT Nashville, but the company (Moondance Vacation Rentals) is awful to work with. Our hot tub was broke when we arrived. it didnt even have water in it. The hot tub was the sole reason we didnt book the Barn Burner DT. Had I known, or someone from the company told me, we would have not stayed there. But the communication with Moondance only came when we asked or got upset. We were not able to use our hot tub at all the first night and on the second night had to refill it because it was leaking again. After boiling water and filling it up ourselves with pots and pans for an hour - we finally got it hot enough to use around 10pm our last night. We also didnt get our firewood we purchased the first night and after asking for it was told "they'll bring it tomorrow". There were other issues but the main thing you should know with Moondance Vacation Rentals is - dont expect them to help you. Even when its their fault. They could have cared less about even giving us an apology much less any type of refund which is what we should have got.

Absolutely above and beyond expectations. House was absolutely more than could ask for. Staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming. Couldnt brag more about choosing this as kur first family vacation.

Family birthday vacation

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Would rent again. The pond was not stocked with fish. We missed not having a laundry room to wash dirty clothes as traveling. The management company never communicated with me, I didnt get an email from them about checking in? I called them and got the code for the door. We were charged extra to have 6 people stay at the cabin but only had 6 people 2 of the 5 nights . I rented a cabin that sleeps 10 people and price per night was high aond should of covered 10 people with out any extra fee. Master shower head keep falling down , master king mattress needs replaceed sinks bad in the middle

The cabin was great and perfect size for our group. The outdoor space is very relaxing and we were still close enough to Nashville to sight see and enjoy hard truth.

This property had everything you would want for cooking and games. Each drawer in kitchen was labeled. Tons of space. Large rooms and tons of bedrooms. Great for a lg family friends get away. Only thing I seen I didn’t like was the bathrooms could have been a little nicer as far as tubs go and faucets. Whoever cleans don’t look around beds for dust But I can say we had tons of towels and extras. I would definitely go back again. Outside could use a little cleaning too

Great for Bachelor Party

We had a great time. The check-in process was better than any cabin I've stayed at- we didn't have to drive anywhere extra or waste time. There are multiple seating areas inside and out, the lake is well-stocked, and the billiards table is a fantastic time sink in-between activities. I did get a call complaining about my party being on the neighbors property, but once I told them we were all on Lake Monroe, it was resolved and I heard nothing more about it. Would stay again, no doubt.

Once upon a time, some crazy women chose The Grand Cabin to relax, recharge & reconnect.....

Beautiful setting nestled by woods & wildlife. Abundant parking. Open floorplan with two huge, comfortable leather sectionals that accomodated our family as we enjoyed the inviting fire of the gas fireplace & sang like ROCKSTARS! No messy logs or clean up ;-) Hot tub was a huge hit ! ! Massive kitchen counter space & 2 refrigerators + Keurig & pods made mornings & breakfast a nice wake up call. Negatives were very slow flushing in couple bathrooms; some comforters smelled "stale." On a scale of 1-10, it's fair to rate it an 8+ Footnote: Service was prompt & precise when we called for help with the fireplace. Fixed and done. All good. Very convenient, short drive to town.

The only negative was that the listings description is deceiving. Saying that it sleeps 11. And does say that it will charge for extra people. But until you rent it is when they tell you that they charge extra after 4 people.

Grand Cabin Family Reunion

Overall the house was a great place to stay. Negatives would be internet speed and the TV provider service ROKU was difficult to manuever and kept shutting off asking for a code. At a minimum there needs to be some written instructions for it.
