The pictures for this property make it look FANTASTIC. However, when you pull up to the house, your stomach sinks - weeds are the front yard, and there is a weed-filled, empty, dirt abyss for the back yard. Outdoor seating is limited to a handful of dirty chairs on a small deck. Kitchen is small, and walls and baseboards need a good washing. Limited stock of conveniences, such as tin foil or wrap. Fourth bedroom is down creepy stairs, in a basement right next to the hot water heater, furnace, and laundry.Towels were dirty and stained. Host sent messages early enough for a smooth check in. Camping chairs were in the shed in the back.

Six of us stayed in the house while visiting Colorado Springs for a reunion. Very nice house and location. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay with our family of 7, house was big enough for everyone.. kids played in the backyard with games provided, house was in good condition. House was well equiped with everything we needed. Will definetely stay here again..

Absolute Gem of a location

We were very happy with our stay here. The location is perfect for all the major attractions in Colorado Springs (Pikes peak, Garden of Gods etc). The check in process was very smooth and Rita was a perfect host. She was very attentive for all our needs. The house itself has a very cozy feel and out family of 6 loved relaxing here after a busy day of doing touristy stuff.

Mountain Retreat

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Retreat of Rita and Abhi. Very nicely furnished and accessible to all that Colorado Springs has to offer. A bonus was the family park across the street and a lovely back yard at their home. Our hosts were genuinelly responsive and quick to answer any questions or needs we had. Definitely makes our list of vacation rentals for future visits to COS.

Good location

This house met all our needs for a girls trip. It had enough beds for all four if us, plus more in basement. 3 full bathrooms too. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed. We enjoyed the outdoor gas firepit and the house was well lit when pulling in the drive at night. We played UNO at the dining table and had coffe in the living room in mornings. Would stay there again.

Great location

Excellent location to just about everything also don’t let ‘no washer/dryer’ keep you from this place bc the Laundry Lounge is literally 3 minutes from here. The backyard and patio was a great place to have my morning coffee and in the evening a glass of wine. Overall an AMAZING house!!!

Nice place to stay

The place is great. Only downside is no washer/dryer but it was my fault for not checking the listing for it. It also would have been nice to have a couple more rolls of TP. :)

Beautiful house, loved the playground

The home was very clean and had very nice furnishings. The best part was it was right across from a park with a playground, baseball field and trails. It is right off a busy road which you can hear from the bedrooms but it didn’t stop us from sleeping. The hosts were very helpful and responded very quickly. We were 20m from the zoo and 20m from the hospital which was why we were in town. The zoo is very cool. The house also had a great backyard for the kids and a nice outdoor deck for hanging out on.

We paid extra for early check-in and arrived to a house with no working AC. The temperature was 77 when we arrived, reached 80, and the system only worked for about 12 hours during our entire four-night stay.What was most frustrating was the lack of urgency. A technician confirmed the fan motor was failing and needed replacement, yet no repair was made while we were there. Instead, we were told to manually restart the fan with a stick if it stopped again. After reporting the issue on Monday, we were repeatedly told a repair was being arranged, only to learn it was scheduled for after our Friday checkout. Spending our summer vacation without reliable AC is unacceptable.Communication was inconsistent and we often had to initiate contact for updates. We were also informed the host was traveling internationally, which only highlighted the lack of a reliable backup plan for handling major issues.There were additional maintenance and cleanliness issues. Many dishes, pans, and utensils had dried food on them and needed to be washed before use. The garbage disposal was left clogged by a previous guest and unusable until a handyman fixed it.The host offered 250 in compensation, which felt inadequate given that the home's primary amenity was unavailable for most of our stay.Overall, this felt like a poorly maintained property with reactive management rather than proactive upkeep. I would not stay here again nor recommend it.
