  • Central location and gorgeous views of Pike's Peak. UCCS, Colorado College, Garden of the Gods, downtown, and the Air Force Academy are all within 15 minutes by car. University Village, with many shops and stores, and the Pulpit Rock Open Space, with hiking and biking, are just next door. This house is the perfect way to experience Colorado Springs.

    This is a quiet neighborhood, and we would be happy to welcome you to our home.

    The house has 1 bedroom with a full size mattress, 1 bedroom with a queen bed and pullout couch, full kitchen, and a wash room with washer and dryer.

    There is 1 TV with a Chromecast, and there is no cable or satellite. Netflix, YouTube, etc can be played from your phone or tablet via Chromecast.

No A/C

The view was indeed amazing, but this property does NOT have A/C, despite the listing showing that it does. It has a swamp cooler. The high was around 90 during our trip, and the cooler was not at all sufficient. I would not have booked this property in the middle of August if I had known there was no central air conditioning. Very disappointed.

Seriously great views from this beautiful mid century home

We chose this property because of the proximity to the USAFA and stayed for 5 nights. The home is located very close to shopping, restaurants and major roadways, yet tucked up in a surprisingly quiet and serene neighborhood. Each morning/evening we were able to see turkeys, mule deer, and other wildlife wandering through the yard. It really is a lovely location. The house layout is great, and was a perfect size for us with two bedrooms and one full bath. Please note that there is only one tv in the home, located in the master bedroom. That suited us just fine, as we weren't there to watch television. However, it might be helpful for future travelers to know this information. In addition, there is no cable/satellite, so tv must be streamed via Chromecast by using an app on phone like Hulu, Netflix, etc. Again, no big deal as long as you have a young person with you to figure it out! The owners were very gracious and responsive beforehand as well as throughout our stay. There were a few housekeeping issues we communicated to the owner, and they were extremely receptive to our input. There was nothing so important that it would preclude us from staying here again. This is a solid VRBO option in Colorado Springs!

Mountain vacation

The property was awesome. With large lots, you had the feeling of seclusion and beautiful views of the mountains, but you are just down the street from shopping and restaurants. Wonderful trip!

Best Location!

The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood, central to everywhere we wanted to visit. There is a wonderful business district within a short drive that has everything - groceries, Starbucks, restaurants, shops, etc. The owners were super helpful! Because we arrived late one evening, they stocked the kitchen with breakfast food and coffee. Beds were comfy, and the views are mazing!

We had all that we needed here for our trip to see UCCS. Little did we know after booking, we were only but 2 minutes away from the college and a quicK drive to Old Colorado Springs. So fun and the hosts had quick responses and super helpful.

Spacious property with a country feel

We had planned this trip for six months and thought we knew everything about the property. We were wrong! We couldn't believe that we were within 5 minutes of shops and dining but the house had a cozy, country feel. The wild turkeys, deer and rabbits were out daily in the yard. It was more than we had hoped for. The pictures do not do it justice to show how spacious the property is. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions, no matter how silly. If we return, we would definitely stay at this property again.

Quiet retreat with killer view

This mid-century modern sits above Colorado Springs giving wonderful sunrises and sunsets featuring Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods and city lights at night. As we sat in the living room about dusk the first night, we watched a coyote cross the front yard. Location wise, it couldn't be more convenient to restaurants, shopping, major roads, and trails, yet it is far enough off the beaten path to give peace and quite after a day of sightseeing and hiking. When we were searching HomeAway, most properties were way too large for just the two of us, but this one sounded perfect and exceeded our expectations: the furnishings continued the modern vibe, but were comfortable; the well-stocked kitchen allowed us to cook our meals here; and we were able to start the next portion of a long trip with clean clothes. While we travel pretty much self-contained, the owner had everything on site that one might need. He and the property manager were also very responsive to the one thing we found missing and a new item was here on our return from the day. Both communicated with us before our arrival so entry was smooth and then later to make sure all was ok. We really enjoyed this property.
