Comfortable home in Old Colorado City

Inside of property was very nice and clean. Patio was dirty when we arrived. Not too inviting. It was cleaned up the next day but we missed our opportunity to use it. Our code did not work to enter the property. Luckily Kaitlin was available by phone and there was a lockbox. Overall we had a nice stay.

Curb appeal anyone?

Surprised no one thought to take snow shovel and salt off front porch/deck…in August. Inside was great, clean, had everything you’d need. The exterior looked abandoned though, like they didn’t care enough to atleast pull up a weed or two:(

Perfect for our writing retreat!

We were three work colleagues staying for a couple of nights for a writing retreat. The place was perfect. Two amazing bedrooms on the bottom floor, one with its own bathroom, the other with its own little study with a window looking onto the street. The upstairs bedroom was cozy, with its own half bath. We each had good privacy and our own bathroom/half bath, as well as hangout space and a dining area for chats. Old Colorado City, with charming stores, bars, and restaurants were a relatively short walk away, and Garden of the Gods just a 10 minute drive. The kitchen was well stocked, and the hosts left a bunch of complimentary snacks and plenty of pods for the Kreuger coffee maker (there's also a regular drip coffee maker). Easy parking. Great communication from the host (a vacation rental company), including regular check-ins, etc. Just one note on the upstairs bedroom. It's super cozy, but can get hot. There's an AC, though. There's also a small attic window looking out on the street, but with no curtains, so we just put one of the seats in front of the window at night to block the view from outside. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving vacation

We stayed at this house for 4 nights over the week of Thanksgiving. The home was very clean with a great location to attractions and restaurants. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us. We enjoyed the stay. The propane fire pit in the back was a nice addition for the cold evenings. We had a few very cold nights and the homes central ac did a wonderful job of keeping us warm. Will definitely return.
