Welcome to Colorado Springs, enjoy our house like it’s your own vacation getaway. You will find this 2-story family home just outside our thriving downtown scene! A short drive from Colorado Springs Airport, downtown, all the military bases, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and all the local attractions. After a day of adventure, return home and enjoy the provided TVs, board games, books, and all the kitchen essentials. Relax out on the deck and end the night around the fire-pit.
The space
Once our family home, now your Colorado Springs vacation getaway. We redecorated and refurnished this space to be the perfect home away from home for your family or guests. Located in a friendly neighborhood, this 2-story home will comfortably sleep 8 guests. Homey living spaces, comfy bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, on-site laundry, air hockey and foosball, a fenced in backyard with a large deck, grill, patio table and firepit provide everything you and your guests need for an amazing getaway in Colorado Springs!
Kitchen & Dining -
Colorado Springs is home to hundreds of amazing restaurants and eateries, but if you desire a home cooked meal, this home is well equipped to do just that. The spacious kitchen is furnished with an electric range & oven, microwave, fridge/freezer combo with filtered water and ice maker, a double sink, toaster, blender/mixer combo, and miniature crockpot. The cabinets are stocked with all the essential dishware, silverware, pots & pans, baking sheets, cooking utensils, serving dishes, storage containers, and grilling utensils. We have provided cooking oils, salt & pepper, salted butter, and a spice rack to make all the perfect dishes. So, whether you are looking to make a buffet breakfast, a quick bite for lunch, or a family-style dinner this kitchen has you covered.
Included in your stay is a complementary coffee, tea, and hot-cocoa bar. Pop in a K-cup in the Keurig for a quick brew or load up the 12-cup coffee pot for the whole group. There should be something for everyone as we’ve included a variety of K-cups and multiple flavors and types of tea. We’ve also included creamer packets, sugar packets, raw sugar, sugar-free sweeteners, and honey packets.
In the dining area you will have a farmhouse style table that comfortably seats six. If you have a group of eight, we have provided two additional folding chairs that can be added. This is a wonderful space to host group meals or gather for a drink and some comradery.
Living Room -
The living room is a space for everyone to gather. Take a seat on the wrap-around reclining sectional. Flip on the 55” Roku TV to catch up on all your favorite shows or movies. Feel free to login to your personal streaming or music apps or watch live Roku-TV. Light the gas fireplace to add to the ambiance.
Family Room -
The family room is a fun space to enjoy. Challenge your family or friends to a game of air hockey or foosball located in the front of the first floor.
Laundry Closet -
Don’t feel like you need to pack your entire wardrobe. The home has a full-size washer and dryer. Also included is an iron, ironing board, and clothes steamer. Re-usable bags are also provided to take with you on your shopping trips as Colorado charges for disposable shopping bags.
Master Bedroom -
The huge master bedroom has a king bed, dual dressers, dual nightstands, and a full-length mirror. Additionally, the master has a desk to complete any work or projects while you are away from home. The very large walk-in closet is complete with hangars and luggage racks.
The attached full bath has a double sink which is great for getting ready for a night on the town. There is a stand-up shower and separate large soaking tub with complementary bath bubbles. Lastly, the master bath has a private enclosed toilet.
Guest Rooms -
Two additional guest rooms can accommodate an additional four guests. Each room has a queen size bed, dual nightstands, and luggage racks. Additional bedding is also provided in each bedroom closet. Bedside outlets are also provided to keep all your devices charged. One queen bed is a pillow-top mattress and the other is a memory foam mattress. Both are very comfy and will make for an easy night's rest. We have provided both soft pillows and memory foam pillows on every bed. All bedding and linens are laundered between guests.
Loft -
Another fun hang-out spot is the loft. Enjoy the use of an additional TV, a Roku 40” smart-flat-screen TV. The loft is stocked with several board games, card games, and books. There is a papasan chair and 3-seat couch with chaise lounge. The loft area doubles as an additional sleeping area. This wonderfully comfortable couch easily converts to a full/queen size bed. In under a minute, convert the couch to a bed and add the provided bedding found within the couch storage.
Bathrooms -
You gotta go when you gotta go. The house has two and a half bathrooms. Downstairs is a half-bath. Upstairs has the previously mentioned master full bath and an additional full bath. This second full bath has a shower/tub combo. We have provided Dove shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. Upstairs you will find skin moisturizer as well. Toilet paper, facial tissues, feminine hygiene products, hair dryers, and linens have been provided. If you forget a toiletry item, you may be in luck. We also have a small quantity of basic toiletries.
Backyard -
Want to gather outside for a breath of fresh air? The fenced-in backyard has a large deck with a patio table, umbrella, and chairs. Fire up the grill; the Pit Boss Memphis ultimate combo grill has a propane grill, a charcoal grill and a small electric smoker. In the evening light up the tiki torches or sit around a campfire and roast some smores. The backyard has a firepit and a few starter logs will be provided.
Parking -
Parking is a breeze. The driveway should accommodate up to 4 standard-sized vehicles. If additional space is needed, street parking is permitted but be sure to avoid parking near the corner fire hydrant.
Guest access
Look for detailed instructions no later than 24 hours prior to your arrival after you have completed your verification. Enter your custom code into the front door smart lock and the home will be yours for the length of your stay.
Other things to note
No smoking within the house.
Outdoor quiet hours begin at 10pm per county ordinance. Please keep neighbors in mind during your stay.
Our home is pet friendly, up to two pets. They must be registered at booking and will incur an additional fee of $130 in total. The backyard is fenced-in but please be sure to clean up all pet waste. Certified service animals are permitted with no additional charge.
Early check-ins and late check-outs cannot be guaranteed. If an early check-in or late departure is requested, you must contact us for availability. For early check-in requests contact us day of arrival. For late check-out requests contact us the night prior to check-out.
Exterior cameras are in place and actively record video and sound. These devices are primarily for guest safety.
PLEASE NOTE: Guests will not have access to the garage, basement, or the small south-facing side of the exterior of the home (There is backyard access). These areas will not be occupied during your stay but are off limits to guests.
