Our only complaint is that our stay was so short! We would absolutely stay at The 1802 House again when in Kennebunkport amd would recommend a stay there to family and friends. "

"Beautiful old house on quiet street within walking distance of Kennebunkport centre. The house is full of character and has welcoming hosts. The room (The Study) was downstairs and we were the only guests that night, so was very peaceful. Breakfast was cooked by Chris and was delicious. "I liked that at night the only way to get into the hotel was with a swipe card, nobody works at the front desk during those night hours so I felt safe. Parking was great and just walking in the area around to get to the restaurants and shopping was really easy."

"Our only disappointment with the hotel was that the reservations were for an ocean view room but instead we overlooked the parking lot. The hotel was clean, easily accessible, and included a parking which is definitely needed. The Kennebunk area is very busy and in town driving could be hectic. Reservations for dinning and probably anything else should be done in advance. "

"Park here, and you can walk all of central Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Really convenient location. The building isn’t new, but it is beautifully maintained and really clean. Comfortable beds, great shower in the bathroom, friendly staff. This will be the place we always stay when we return."

"I was looking for a resort on the Maine coast that was dog friendly and the Colony Hotel knocked it out of the park. The facilities are fantastic, beautiful views and a brief walk to downtown Kennebunkport. Lots of dogs families and couples, young and old. We will likely come back every summer from now on."

"The view is stunning!! It has a really nice pool with comfy seats. The hotel itself is relaxing and quiet. There is a ton of history and it’s so interesting to read about it. The rooms look old-fashioned, but it’s part of the vibe. It was nice that they had coffee and muffins every morning, and you could go out on the big giant porch and just sit and relax and look at the ocean as you drink your coffee. "

"My family loved staying here! Having 2 bedrooms with a family of 5 was great. We loved that the pools closed a little later than most hotels, we had enough time to enjoy our day, get dinner, then go for a night swim. We borrowed dvds from the hotel to watch but the remote for the dvd player was missing but Desmond, the employee was great! He came to our condo immediately to try to help. We were able to figure out how to screen mirror our phone to be able to play a movie. Thank you! "
