"This place offers the bare minimum to guests and feels depressing. It technically has all the things it says, but the air conditioning is on the porch and not the bedroom or main area of the house, the kitchen exists but isn’t stocked enough to cook in, and the kayaks are there but you have to walk through 10 feet of mud to get in the lake. It’s on a main road and is loud. It’s not peaceful, so we complained about all of these things and left after one hour. It was worth going to a better place...

"We had a great time staying at The Heron House. The location is close to great restaurants within walking distance. We were close to Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs, where our niece was getting married. It was a great place to gather our family with our adult children. Thank you to the hosts for their hospitality! "

"Overall a great stay, the check in and out process could be more clear and probably more convenient for owners with guidelines written down on site vs having to contact them. We had the smoke alarm go off and that was a bit chaotic, and we never were able to connect to WiFi but honestly that was okay - better to be present! Loved the rooms and styling!"

Great house layout for a large family with children. The house came with many thoughtful perks (coffee, laundry, charging outlets, etc.) 10/10 would recommend! "

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home in Savage. Beautifully decorated and cozy, this house is conveniently located near major highways and was perfect for our family of 5 over Thanksgiving weekend. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood and there’s even a pretty pond view in back of the house. Only one thing- the heat was set very low so when we arrived the house was pretty cold.. around 50 degrees. We had to leave for a few hours to give some time for the house to warm up. After that,...
