Your sanctuary half hour from central Santiago

This charming and spacious Provencal villa is located in the very private, gated, community of Las Brisas de Chicureo, in the northern part of greater Santiago.

It features 6 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms in over 4,500 of space, in a peaceful one acre lot. The clear air, views of the surrounding hills, and starry nights, are highlights of the Chicureo area. So, yes, you are in greater Santiago, but at the same time you are not. The Chicureo nights were not the ones to inspire Neruda's odes, but they very well could have. The home also has a large swimming pool (and related paraphernalia) overlooking the Andes. It also has a professionally maintained vegetable garden that can provide seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables to the kitchen table. All modern amenities are provided (desktop monitor, wifi, satellite TV, Bose sound system, bluetooth devices). After a day (or days) of excursions, you will be pleased to come back to the comforts of our villa.

All this just a 30-minute drive from Santiago's international airport via highway.

While getting the sense of 'being in the countryside', the villa is also near multiple shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes. We are a 5-minute drive from Los Libertadores highway, and from there via Santiago's modern highway system it is only 15 minutes to Las Condes, and 20 minutes to downtown Santiago.

A full time housekeeper, personal chef, and or a full time driver, can also be arranged separately and upon request. For those interested, we can also arrange access to the Club de Golf Las Brisas de Chicureo, spas, and facilities. For all these services you would pay the providers directly.

This is a beautiful property! It offered more than enough room and private sleeping space for our group of seven adults and two children. The home is contemporary and in a lovely gated golf community. There was a small playground near the house for the children, and the pool at the house was great. Something to note for US travelers, Chilean homes, much like European homes, seem to generally not include a dishwasher, as is the case in this large home. Also, you are likely not to find a toaster or a coffee maker. The Chilean instant coffee is really quite good and a hot water pot is available. Also, there is no AC, but several fans are provided. Our only concern upon arrival was that the pool surround and patio areas were covered in bird poo. Using the patio was not much of a problem, but since we were told it would be two days before they were to be cleaned, I personally got down at the pool entrance and surround to scrape and then sweep the bird poo off so my little grandsons could use the pool right away. If you rent this property, be sure and ask that that be done before your arrival. I’m sure Helen, the owner, would be happy to accommodate your request. Other than that, I highly recommend this beautiful property.

Exceptional peaceful serenity in an awesome valley surrounded by typical Chilean country side! The landscaped gardens of peaches nectarines, apples, pears, pomegranate, limes and herbs add the the natural beauty while bathing in a large backyard swimming pool. The Chilean cook/chef, Maria Angelica's culinary skills made our stay that much more special by preparing typical Chilean dishes daily. The access to urban Santiago is quick and easy with a rental car (30minutes) if you can tear yourself away for the rural retreat!

Good experience, beautiful house, great garden and swimming pool. Missed dishwasher and air-conditioning. Oven not working. Very nice and fast responding owners. Recommend for other travellers.
