Bed issues

We had 12 full sized adults in our party. The Black Creek cabin had a nice communal area, but inadequate bedding for our adults. With only one bedroom on the first floor, and one adult who couldn’t use stairs, she had to have the one bedroom with a king bed. That left one couple for the second bedroom with a king bed. The two good size bedrooms served three people, leaving nine single people in the remaining two double beds. With one person in each double bed, that left seven people on sofa beds(incredibly uncomfortable) or on a bunk bed. Two of our party left before the first night of a planned five night stay after determining their bedding inadequate. That left one person in the upstairs hallway on an air bed we had brought with us. Lighting throughout the house was inadequate, as there were no table lamps or floor lamps in the common areas. Reading a book(we are all readers of books and magazines) was restricted to daylight hours or the dining table. Whereas the listing was described as “waterfront” we had to drive about a mile to get to the water. One in our party rented a boat for a half day. The boat had no anchor and the boat ladder broke, leaving two swimmers unable to get back into the boat. Luckily the boat was near enough to shore that the swimmers could get to shore without drowning. The kitchen was well supplied and thoughtfully stocked; the deck was large and perfect for our party. Firewood was provided and restocked daily. Our contact person was responsive

Amazing weekend getaway!

This property was perfect for a weekend getaway with some friends. Everything was clean and as-advertised, and most of the essentials were provided which was a big plus. The area was quiet and scenic, making for some beautiful nights by the campfire. We will definitely be looking into coming back!

Wonderful Family Get Away at Black Creek Cabin

We have never done a family get away with all the children and grandchildren and we were a bit apprehensive that the “vacation “ would be a fiasco. Just the opposite. The accommodations allowed all their space, yet together meals and beach time and just hanging out together. Thank you.

Graduation weekend

My family rented this cabin for a long weekend during my sisters graduation from college and needless to say it was a wonderful weekend! All together there were 14 people staying at the cabin, and then we were able to have a bbq there as well with an additional 5 people from the local town! Kim was very efficient and easy to contact throughout our stay! The house was very welcoming with waters and some snacks set up in different rooms for us. We also went down to the water and took out some kayaks and paddle boards for an afternoon and swam around in the beach area for a while! It was such a beautiful weekend and everything worked out so well with the large group we had. The house was very clean and nothing was broken. We will most likely stay here again if we are back in the area!

Beyond Imagination

One of the best and most memorable vacations our family has had! The house, property and lake are first-class. The service and attentiveness of Kim, her family and the staff was beyond anything we've ever experienced. We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you!!!

Beautiful place but disappointed

It’s a beautiful place!! It was kinda a let down not knowing ahead of time the lake was down so bad we were not able to go out on it..Of course it was raining for most of are week there...Also another let down...Such a big price to pay for not much outside activity ..

A+ stay across the board!

What a wonderful overall experience! The house is immaculate- new, nice and very well-appointed. The rooms are lovely. The layout of the house is highly functional, so there's a lot of room and comfort for lounging/hanging out, but it can sleep a lot of people too. It's situated on a big, beautiful piece of property; the pictures on the listing don't do justice to the enormous patio and the incredible lake view. We enjoyed beautiful red and purple sunsets every night. Kim and her family were unbelievably welcoming and responsive. Kim was available 24/7 to answer any questions, and was super helpful in making suggestions and even bringing over items to make our lives easier. We really felt the love and appreciated the white glove experience Kim and her family provided. Simply put, this is a fantastic property owned and managed by fantastic people. We will 100% be back. Thank you so much!
