This cozy apartment is in the heart of old town. You are never more than a 20 minute walk from anything. The owner is very responsive. We loved the fresh rolls in the morning as well as everything we needed to make breakfast. He even replenished some of our supplies! Parking can be tough in a university town but Eduardo saved a place for us out front!We stayed in the top unit that had sloping ceilings, so watch your head. Also, we were there during the winter and the heater did not heat up the apartment. I’m sure summer is quite different.

A Perfect Stay In Coimbra

Best VRBO of a two week stay in Portugal

Location is excellent, the place is nicely appointed and roomy, but best feature is our host. Attentive, friendly, and provides a fridge stocked for breakfast and fresh bread every morning. Awesome Stay!

Excellent stay

We stayed in a triple studio and it was excellent. The daily bread delivery was a nice touch. The location is very close very close to Coimbra University. The hosts are awesome. I would stay here again for sure.

Memorable stay

Coimbra is a very nice city to visit. The appartement is well situated, easy to park on the street. Close to the Jardim Botânico which we loved. The apartment was just perfect and the included breakfast with the fresh bread delivered at the door great. I highly recommend.

Lovely apartment in the town center

We had a wonderful week in Coimbra. Eduardo is an excellent host, always ready to help - he really makes you feel welcome.The apartment is lovely and well-equipped with the Botanic Garden, University, Praça da Rebublica close by (a few minutes walking distance). You will find everything you need for breakfast from muesli, milk, coffee, fresh fruit, cheese, eggs... to fresh bread every morning. City maps, restaurant tips, recommendations what to see/to do are also provided. Full recommendation... 5*****

Coimbra stay

The apartment is located near the university and thus we spent out two days visiting the nearby garden and university. The apartment was above average with the only negative being the ceiling height due to our apt being in the attic. The roof support beams were low and you were liable to hit your head on these beams.

Great location, great host, homemade bread and jam!

The location cannot be beat. You are literally a block away from the historic university and botanical gardens, both of which are spectacular. Just around the corner and down the street are lively restaurants and the bustle of a college town. Eduardo is a great host, who helped us get a larger room in the building when we asked and it happened to be available. Plus, the daily delivery of fresh bread and homemade jam is reason enough to stay. The fridge was also stocked with some basics so you can make a sandwich and have coffee/breakfast without having to go out. Cannot recommend enough!

Coimbra apartment

Apartment was comfortable and spacious with a renovated bathroom. Eduardo is a kind host, he brings fresh bread every morning to eat with your complementary continental breakfast. Location is a few blocks from the University—Coimbra is built on a hill, so be prepared to walk over the hill to see the sites. I would definitely stay again.

Everything you'd hope for, and more

We arrived a little later than we thought but Eduardo was right there to greet us, show us in, and give us a primer on local sightseeing and practicalities. The room was very clean and spacious with great light and we were very happy to learn that not only was the fridge stocked with some wonderful essentials (minimal but perfect), it also had his (now famous) marmalade and every morning we were delivered fresh loaves of bread. I mean, what more could one possibly ask for!? The location couldn't be better - a stones throw from the college and botanical gardens. We will absolutely return here every time we visit the beautiful city of Coimbra. Thank you Eduardo!

This was a great place to stay. Wonderful host and great breakfast with delivered fresh rolls.

I would rent again here. Really a fine experience with up dated apartments in historic building. A grand time in a fine, vibrant city.
