Welcome to Don's Place, a charming cabin nestled creek-side at the base of Table Mountain in beautiful Wapiti, WY. This property is perfect for those traveling through Yellowstone that want to lodge and recreate in the privacy and serenity of the country. The cabin offers stunning views, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, laundry, and plenty of both indoor and outdoor space to kick back after a long day of sightseeing or hunting.

Versatile in it's utility, this cabin has something for everyone. There's space for 7 people and even horses, too! It offers a 500 square foot loft with it's own half bathroom, a newly renovated bathroom on the main floor, a cozy open living room, a beautiful stone fireplace, and an open concept kitchen, divided by a mahogany bar with stools for 7. There's a large front deck and second floor balcony with spectacular mountain views. For hunters there's adequate space for several horses, ATVs, and outdoor plumbing specifically installed to facilitate game processing.

20 miles east of the cabin is historic Cody, WY where you will find a wide variety of shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, fishing and rafting companies, and historic landmarks and attractions.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The house was wonderful with everything we needed for our stay. There was lots of room and it was very comfortable. We felt that the house was even better than the pictures show. We used it to stay in while we visited Yellowstone. It was a little farther than we would have liked to drive to get into and out of after a long day at the park each day but the drive was beautiful. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Comfy cabin located 35 mins from Yellowstone NP east entrance. The drives to YNP for a day of hiking was very pleasurable, scenery is magnificent. Cabin area is quiet and accommodation provided for a relaxing week in the mountains. Host was very attentive in any communication.

We had a great stay at this mountain cabin! Two adults and 4 kids (ages 15, 11, 10, 9) from western Wisconsin, we stayed here for our first trip to Yellowstone. The cabin was the perfect size for 6 of us, was very clean and comfortable, had all the pots and pans and dishes we needed for meals, and was in such a beautiful location. We filled water bottles with tap water the whole trip, water tasted great and was very clear. I was nervous about no air conditioning but with the fans and following the directions they left for opening windows at night, we didn’t have any problems even with some 90 degree days.On the drive out from Billings to this VrBO, we took the Bear Tooth highway to the Chief Joseph scenic byway. It was a beautiful white knuckle drive through the mountains that I would definitely recommend. Each day we left at 6am for the park. We made it to Canyon Village just as the visitor center was opening at 8am. It took us 2.25 hours to get from the cabin to Old Faithful. The drive from the entrance to the Fishing Bridge was beautiful and each morning we saw wildlife like bison, elk, and deer. We had long busy days and our favorite way to unwind at the end was sitting on the front porch and looking at the beautiful Mountain View and watching it change as the sun got lower in the sky behind us. For flat-landers like us, this was a highlight!

We could not have picked a better place to stay! The only downfall was having to leave so soon. We felt it was conveniently located to both Cody and the East entrance of Yellowstone. The home was beautiful and had everything we could have needed. The owners were wonderful at communicating and making us feel at home. The views were beautiful and it was so quiet and peaceful. I hope to stay again!

Yellowstone to Cody

Our stay was wonderful. Short drive to the east entrance of Yellowstone. Beautiful land. The way the trees and small stream hug the property is beautiful. Cody is not far to the east and we got to enjoy Independence Day there.

Wonderful Start to Yellowstone

We are a family of 5 and really enjoyed this little cabin. It was stocked with the basics and gave us a great place to start our first two days in Yellowstone. It’s still a bit of a drive to get fully into the park, but it’s a lovely drive with lower traffic than the other entrances. Getting groceries in Cody was perfect for us to plan a few meals at the house. We also tried one of the recommended trails nearby. Thanks so much for a great stay!

This the perfect location for those looking to visit Yellowstone. It is a quick, beautiful drive into the east entrance. The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. The scenery will not disappoint.
