"Lovely hotel set in its own grounds , food was excellent , Great for a peaceful break away ."

"Very basic but even for the price the rooms were dusty. Cobwebs hanging off the walls. We had two nights due to a local wedding. Asked to move rooms because the mattress was terrible. Was told all the mattresses are the same and getting upgraded in the winter. Changed rooms, slightly better mattress. Even for a cheap night I'd expect no cobwebs / dust and a decent mattress. Won't go again."

"Great location which is why we keep coming back. Communal areas have been modernised and the executive lounge is decent with some nice touches of snacks and alcohol at certain times. We often stay in the junior suite which is really spacious but the bathroom is dated and in a four star suite should have a walk in shower rather than shower over the bath. If that were to get upgraded along with some of the furniture in the room it would be perfect. Good to have Gino’s restaurant attached,...

We realised this was a bigger issue with the long queues at reception and many people complaining. When we asked for support the hotel staff were dismissive and said there is nothing they can do. "Lovely stay at the Cedar Court. I’ve been quite a few times before but not since it’s had a bit of a refresh. They’ve done a really good job with it and the rooms now feel much more modern. It would have been nice to a few little extras in the room such as a vanity kit etc. that said the shower products are now the White Company which I love, sadly the shower gel was empty in our room and I didn’t realise until I was in the shower. "Rooms were clean, quiet and had everything you needed. This hotel is room only. You have a key for the front door to come in and out and key for your room. There is a number to contact the owners but only saw them when checking in. Rooms provide tea/coffee and bottled water. It’s a no nonsense hotel which has everything you need in your room for your stay."

"I did not like the fact that while I did not book with free breakfast, I was still charged for my coffees in the restaurant. You would think someone staying in one of the Penthouse suites would at least get free coffee in the restaurant."
