"We enjoyed how quiet the property and surrounding area was. Went for a nice long walk and took in the Bay. The Annex has everything you need, besides a tv, but the view from the windows makes up for that. Tea on the back patio in the evening helped us relax after a day of travel. The following morning we had a lovely breakfast in the main house with lively conversation with the owners. They helped us plan our next day of travel. "

"Our family of 16, ages 76-4, enjoyed a wonderful week at Sunnybank house. We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! Everything you could possibly need for cooking was there It’s also walking distance (really) to several good restaurants. Clifden is the perfect location to explore Connemara and Mayo."

"The Sun House is in a beautiful location on an inlet in Connemara, with gorgeous views of mountains and sea. The house is superbly designed and very comfortable . "

"Eight of us stayed in Jimmy's home as our base for climbing Croagh Patrick. The home was sited beautifully just outside of Westport and impeccably clean. There was space for eating outdoors, which was a must given how pretty the property is. Jimmy was a great host and timely answered all questions we had before the stay. "Great location for a drive around Connemara, a visit to the Aran Islands and a day to Dog's Bay. One of the highlights was a close encounter with 3 cuckoos fighting over territory or a female. They called and circled for about an hour over the house. "
