Mountain get away

Located in mountains of Virginia surrounded by some of the best motorcycle riding & hiking in VA, KY, TN. Enjoy a quiet setting, Fire pit, Grill, horse shoes. Paved drive & covered parking, There are so man amazing roads here ,weather it be tail of the dragon, the snake, back of the dragon or the roads only the locals know.
We can guide you to some of the most incredible riding , breathtaking scenery and of course FOOD.
We are also in an incredible area for some fantastic hiking. Devils bathtub, Stricklers Knob, Humpback rocks and High bridge trail to name a few.

We can have rental stocked with the items before arrival or we can drop off items to your door when requested.
Have your favorites waiting for you upon arrival. Weather it be coffee, wine, beer and snacks.
Local attractions :
You will find many things to do while in the county. The Ralph Stanley Museum, a Major Venue on The Crooked Road, Virginia's Heritage Music Trail is located in the Town of Clintwood. Birch Knob Observation Tower located 10 miles from the Town of Clintwood, Breaks Interstate Park, one of two Interstate Parks in the USA is located 40 minutes away. Cranesnest (hiking, biking, equestrian trial), Bear Pen Recreation Park, featuring the Community Swimming Pool, picnic shelters, kids playground equipment, gazebo, walk track located near the Virginia Scenic Pound River. Spearhead ATV trails, shooting range, archery range are all nearby. Dickenson County Visitor Center, Chamber of Commerce located in the Town of Clintwood. There is a Kids Korner Park and Walking track in the Town of Clintwood.

Motorcycle trip

Cute little house. Good location for motorcycling. We loved the roads. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The mattresses were not comfortable and there was dog hair on the blankets.

IT WORKED OUT GOOD

GREAT PLACE TO STAY BUT DID HAVE SOME FLAWS. JUST ON A REAL WINDY ROAD TO GET THERE. FRONT SCREEN DOOR HARD TO CLOSE AND LAUNDRY ROOM DOOR ROLLERS REAL SQUEEKY. THE FRYING PANS WERE NOT GOOD. NEED SOME TEFLON PANS. BUT OTHER THANK THAT ALL WAS GOOD.

Always enjoy our visits

Lyn and Randy are great hosts. Always enjoy the house while we visit our family nearby. Love sitting on the porch watching the deer, sunrise, birds, etc.

Lovely place on Caney Ridge!

We were in town to lay my uncle’s ashes to rest at the family cemetery a mile up the road. This was a wonderful place to stay and the hosts were wonderful. Thank you for a lovely stay in a place that felt like home

Relaxing getaway

Clean, and out of the way from any crowds. Easily commute to local wilderness attractions. Able to relax and have zero worries. Place was clean as a whistle and host was amazing. Thank you Brian & Kelly

Not impressed

Family stayed here this past week, if it weren’t for losing the payment they would’ve left, due to the uncleanliness of the inside. Dressers had dirt and a stale smell to them, throughout the whole house there was dirt and food particles found. No dressers were used and yet I get notifications that an insurance claim was filed for a damaged dresser. I do not recommend this property. Definitely not as it’s described.

Wonderful weekend

We enjoyed staying at the cottage while visiting family in the area. Lyn and Randy are great hosts. We had no issues during our stay. Love the character of the cottage. It’s beautiful. Will definitely stay again when we can.

Very nice comfortable house. Hosts were great. It was raining because of hurricane Ian and they went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We plan on returning in the future.

Beautiful cottage

We loved our satay at this charming location. Lyn was helpful and friendly. Property was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed front and back porch sitting. Lightning bugs were an added bonus. We hope to go back.

Perfect for motorcyclists!

Lots of room for a group, it was just me out riding. Tremendous roads for bikers. Comfortable place to stay.
