B&B in Clinton

Very nice place, and located near many things. We had never been to a bed and breakfast before and didn't know what to expect. The breakfast was different than anything we had ate before, we would have preferred the regular breakfast items, but it was fine for the B&B experience. Overall, I'd recommend this place.

Clinton’s Gem for the Business Traveler

The accommodations were spectacular! My cottage was cozy, comfy and clean. The queen size bed was extremely comfortable with a multitude of pillows. The offered a chez lounge and artful furnishings that were multi-purpose. A Keurig coffee maker with San Francisco coffee pods and gourmet teas were available in my cottage along with a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was spacious and had a tub/shower combo. The closet was big and had a roll-away bed available. The owner Julie was an incredible host. She was super attentive and responsive. Her breakfast offerings were DIVINE!!! Julie made sure I had breakfast in my fridge during the week and even did a load of laundry for me. The downtown community is lovely and pretty quiet. There’s a number of sit down and fast food restaurants within five minutes and a Walgreens & CVS less than a 5 minute walk. There is no doubt that I will return!

A beautiful B & B with a fantastic Hostess. Julie was extremely friendly and made great breakfasts. I loved the historic feel to the house that was built in the 1800's. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to stay in Clinton, NC!

Great discovery in Clinton

This is a gem of an inn just outside of the charming center of Clinton. Friendly, quiet and super clean. Local restaurants are within walking distance. I will definitely stay there again when I am doing business in Clinton.

A wonderful piece of paradise!

The Ashford Inn is a little over an hour from where we live, so it was a perfect location for our overnight anniversary celebration! The Inn was beautiful and Julia was a wonderful hostess and cook! We were very comfortable. The inn was walking distance from downtown and from small shops and a couple of restaurants. We will definitely go back!

Wonderful stay!

We loved our stay and appreciate the thoughtfulness and attention the innkeeper gave us. The common room is so cozy but the back yard is the best place to relax. The brick fence is beautiful. What a lovely place for a party.

We were given the very charming cottage ( very sweet little bungalow w/o kitchen) because we had our tiny dog. So private and perfect.Breakfast was pretty amazing!

Julia was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious, and grits were so different and great. We want the recipe! Bed and sheets were heavenly! Very quiet. We sat out on the porch for hours and visited with family!

Rest and Pampering

We spent two days at the Ashford Inn. We had our dog with us so we were booked into the Cottage. This is a delightful cottage behind the inn and to the side. It was beautifully decorated and completely comfortable and private! There is a refrigerator (small) microwave and single serve coffee maker with coffees and teas available. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The bed was quite comfortable and that area had a lounge sofa, writing table and side tables. Plenty of spacious room. It is quite comfortable for a couple and our dog. There is also a fold out bed but we did not need that. The innkeeper, Julie was so friendly and helpful with suggestions and met our every need or request. We had a late checkout due to meeting family for brunch later in the day on Sunday and so our dog was comfy and waiting in our cottage when that was over. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, beautifully served, and unique recipes. We loved the breakfasts!!! The Inn itself is beautiful, though we only ate there. This is a quaint little town and you can walk to an amazing Italian Restaurant, Alfredo's, from the Inn. It is a pretty walk and we enjoyed it. We would love to stay there again and have already recommended it to other family members.

Ashford Inn

We booked two rooms for a one night stay in Clinton,NC and enjoyed the cleanliness and hospitality. The home was beautifully decorated and comfortable. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay at the Ashford Inn.

Ambiance

Julie was most accommodating to our late arrival! The room was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean! The coup de gras was the breakfast, those eggs were to die for! I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast if your travels takes you to or near Clinton, North Carolina!

Passing Through

We were on our way to Virginia from Jacksonville, FL and stopped at the Ashford Inn for the evening. The staff was warm and inviting and accommodated our late check in. The room was cozy and the food was outstanding. We also enjoyed the full time access to wine and spirits. We will definitely consider coming back if the opportunity presents itself.

A Wonderful Alternative to Chain Hotels

My husband and I usually stay overnight in a hotel chain along 95 on our way to our Hilton Head vacation. A search for a B&B in North Carolina turned up the lovely Ashford Inn, a short detour off 95. The inn has 6 guest rooms all with private baths and are very comfortable with lots of charm. Upon arrival innkeeper Julie gave us a short history and tour of the inn..Cozy sitting areas, a well stocked honor bar, and tranquil back yard with seating and a hammock. After settling in, we walked 2 blocks to Alfredo's for a great dinner in downtown Clinton. Clinton definitely has a lot of small town charm. The next morning, we headed downstairs for a gourmet breakfast at the requested time of 7 am. It was nice to be able to pick our time for breakfast. Breakfast started with coffee, juice and watermelon balls with mint. Very refreshing That was followed by coconut crusted french toast with bananas and warm syrup. Very good and filling! We wished we could have lingered, but we enjoyed the country scenery on our way back to 95S. I highly recommend this inn for a relaxing stay away.
