"James (the host) was very friendly and attentive. The location of the house was breathtaking. Short drive to the stores and casino (which we enjoyed) Would definitely recommend to family and friends.The only disappointment was that huge tub in the master bathroom is not a whirlpool/jacuzzi tub. It is just a huge tub."

"Fabulous getaway! Pictures do not do this lakefront home justice. Extremely spacious and welcoming.. you would never know that this home was even attached to the owner’s home. Wish we could’ve stayed longer to make use of the outdoor lake toys. Know your directions as Verizon cell phone service does not work in that area.. Definitely will be rebooking!"

"We loved our stay at the Lakehouse! It had everything we needed for our winter ski break, including all the general kitchen utensils and herbs to prep our meals! Regina was a great host - easy to communicate and accommodating. We recommend! "

"Charming shabby chic cottage with appropriate sized furniture and lots of small tables to move around for individual needs. Star rating based on price point. Immediate area hotel rooms are substandard or very pricey. This is refreshing with options of cooking/barbecue. "The owner-couple have restored and maintained this beautiful historical mansion, a part of Scranton's once-central role in the economy of the North-East, to create a perfect venue for group gatherings. "We had a great time! The cabin was beautiful and comfy! The WiFi was out and a technician was supposed to come out Saturday but never showed. The caretaker kept trying to give us passwords to try but they didn’t work. Out hotspots worked well that we could still watch movies but hopefully this is fixed shortly. There was no weird smell, it smelled like a log cabin and wood to me. There was not an electric fireplace but a real one which worked great but per my husband the flue has to be shut...
