"Abundant and pleasant outdoor seating areas. Friendly staff. Very clean room with good facilites. Very comfortable bed and quiet surroundings gave a great sleep. Loved the decor and had a quiet relaxing break. Great meal and excellet food quality. Only minor downside was Wi Fi stopped working 24 hours after our arrival. Worked in the lounge and outside so was able to use it there. Saltburn beach, funicular railway and peir were good."

"Stayed at The Black Swan for an overnight trip. Location excellent, lovely walks from the door. Took our dog, were provided with a room close to an outside door which was great. Room very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Quiet room. Staff at the hotel were lovely and made us feel welcome. Lovely sunny beer garden which we sat in and enjoyed our evening meal with drinks. Parking was tight and limited but again we were lucky to have got a space when we arrived. "Lovely accomodations in pub with handy location. Room nice size, clean and friendly staff. It is above a pub so might need ear plugs if want total quiet. Also no one on site overnight and separate back door entrance after hours, which is now by an outdoor bar for summer. "
