Ennerdale Water, the most westerly lake is within 2 miles, it is a great place to escape even in the middle of summer with crystal clear water and forest walks. You are free to explore the land around the farm and enjoy a walk down to the river Ehen. The coastal town of St Bees is 7 miles away, walk along the promenade or relax on the sandy beach. For the more adventurous, visit Go Ape at Whinlatter (17 miles) or take on Catbells (26 miles) or Kinniside Stone Circle (1.5 miles) where, on a clear day, you can see Scotland and the Isle of Man.

This well-presented property is adjoining the owner’s farmhouse, located in a peaceful rural setting, with outstanding views. Entering the property into the cosy lounge, snuggle up on the sofa after a day out exploring and enjoy a good book or movie. Off the lounge, there is a shower room which can also be accessed directly from outside too, which is ideal after a walk or cycle ride. The kitchen is down one step from the lounge, it is bijou but has everything you need to rustle up a hearty breakfast or a romantic evening meal. Head up to the first floor, the stairs are located between the lounge and kitchen, you will find a spacious master bedroom with a beamed ceiling and original shutters on the window overlooking the farmyard.
