"Spectacular property and home. Tons of room for everyone. Plenty of spaces for just about every activity you could want. I think our only criticisms were the proximity to the highway (noisy from traffic) and not being able to swim in the pond because of alligators. We had intentions of swimming but there was a pretty large alligator in the pond. This became a moot point because we enjoyed looking for the alligator (kind of like “Where’s Waldo”), and we found a great place to go swim not far from...

"Home was very clean, plenty of room, peaceful location, secure and plenty of amenities. The only thing missing is televisions in bedrooms. That's a must especially with children. "The pet area was very accommodating (large completely fenced in backyard) and the host was even more accommodating. She was excellent and very timely with any and all communication. "There is almost no where to stay in Gilmer, but this cabin was perfect. You can hear the road noise, but it’s really not horrible. We have family of 6, with kids between the ages of 1-14. Everyone had their own bed, and our older kids thought the loft was really cool. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The A/C works great. My kids enjoyed walking the property too. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family. "
