"Beautiful hotel. We were greeted by a glass of prosecco whilst we checked in. We had a standard room which was more than adequate in size and it has the softest bed and linen I think I have ever stayed in, the room had a balcony looking out over part of the golf course. We played golf and used the spa after which is intimate in size but well worth using. We ate in both restaurants and had breakfast on the terrace both mornings. "The property itself was wonderful. Unfortunately, our sleep quality was affected by the air conditioning, which wasn’t functioning properly and failed to cool the room. Despite the reception team’s kind gesture of providing two desk fans, the room remained uncomfortably warm and humid throughout the night."

"Recently refurbished room, bed very comfortable. Bathroom a little dated. Hosts very friendly. No cereals or juice with the breakfast but a good full English breakfast to set you up for a day’s walking! "

"The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was in need of some refurbishment and the shower was poor. However, Howfield Manor is a beautiful building and even in December the grounds were lovely. I would like to stay there again. "

"Situated within picturesque scenery which instantly relaxes the visitor. The parking area was substantial with spaces very close to the accommodation. I had a lovely ground floor room with air conditioning which was required on such a warm, humid day. I took full advantage of the gym set up they had on site which provided enough equipment to take care of my cardio and weights needs.
