"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"We noticed the smell of smoke in the elevator and hallway. The room was ok but the TV didn't work and there was no information on the hotel or surrounding area. Not even a number for the front desk.
I went downstairs to request a different room which we got quickly. The TV worked that night but not the next morning!
At breakfast the coffee was from a push button machine and it was terrible. The breakfast was pretty good but a microwave would have been useful.
The hotel is definitely showing...
