Ahhhhh, Chincoteague Island - the smell of Salt Marsh in the air - the visions of our Wild Ponies wandering through the Refuge. Once you visit our beautiful Island, it stays with you forever. But life is so busy - it's hard to get away for a whole week every year, isn't it? Or maybe you're one who prefers to take many shorter trips over the course of the year - a Weekend Warrior, if you will? If so, the Assateague Inn was made for you. Whether you'd like to visit for 1 night or 11, we're here to make your time in Paradise as memorable as possible. 

Assateague 213-2R is fabulous in that it is actually 2 awesome Assateague Inn Rooms with an adjoining door for privacy! Located on the corner of the building on the 2nd Floor, you have great water views from the water side room, and tons a wonderful natural light. Just perfect for a small family, 2 couples, or 2 singles traveling together, yet wanting their own space and privacy. 

Newly renovated, this Condo is a dream come true! Bright and beachy, the Master side has a brand new Queen Bed, large Flat Screen TV with Roku, and a fabulous Ocean Theme. Bedroom 2 has 2 Twins and can also double as the Living Area if you don't need the beds. There is another large Flat Screen TV and the Kitchen is super well-stocked! The Kitchenettes have a Mini-Fridge, Microwave, Convection Cook-top, and all you need to prepare a quick bite before hitting the Beach! Each side also has a Full Bath with Tub/Shower Combo and separate Vanity. Relax in the AC and enjoy Flat Screen Cable TV and Free WiFi after a fun-filled day on the Beach, or slip out to the refreshing Pool to cool off. Or slip out to catch some Crabs on the Dock!

The Inn is located directly on the Creek, and is a great spot for Crabbing, or simply taking in the Herons and Egrets fishing for their morning meals. Located just off of Maddox Boulevard, you're only a short bike or car ride from Mini Golf, Dining, and of course, Assateague National Seashore! When you're not enjoying playing on the waterfront, relax on the huge landscaped greens with plenty of Picnic Tables and Barbecue Stations to cook up the Fresh Catch of the Day.

The property grounds were not the best. Garbage laying underneath the stairs. Pool was closed when we went and if I had known before (I should have asked) I would have booked elsewhere. The inside was not clean at all. There were stains on the walls, hairs on the beds, dried up contacts on the floor, sand through the cabinets with dishes. We ended up going and buying air fresheners for the musty smell inside and Clorox wipes and wiped down what we could. I just think whoever cleans is not thorough. We are actually glad we did not take our teenage boys. Normally we prepare some meals there but we did not this time. I guess the saying you get what you pay for is true. The owner had the right idea decorating and having things there that are needed but again, just was not clean at all.

Great getaway weekend!

This was a cozy condo- perfect for myself, and my best friend for a girls getaway weekend. We had just enough room and space to have our own privacy and to share the living area/kitchenette. We loved how close we were, walking distance, to many restaurants! and short, five minute or 10 minute drive to other areas such as the Park and Beach. The condo parking was a little tricky. That was the only concern we had during our weekend stay. It seemed like a small parking area for everyone at these units, but somehow we managed to always have a spot. We were just a little bit lost or confused finding our way into the condo location on the initial first night however, it was dark and it was a small side road to access that area. Those were the only reasons why I gave one less star. Everything else was great! We really enjoyed our weekend and the hosts checked in on us. They provided great communication!

Short fishing trip

Location is great to go the beach. Unit sleeps four but four moving in the kitchen area is tight. Beds were comfortable. Your not cooking big meals in the kitchen but was sufficient for our needs. Well kept and very clean. Would stay again.

Perfect for a solo or couples trip

The property is just the right size if you're looking to get away on your own or with a significant other. It's a cozy space that's decorated tastefully. It's also very quiet at this property (though I was here during the off-season). It's centrally located on Chincoteague so close to everything.

Nice double room. Great location

Loved the property. The double room was perfect for us. Location was central to park and central town area. Restaurants are nearby within walking distance. We would've given it Five stars overall except the Internet would only allow us to stream on my laptop, and that was for 1 show. The bedroom TV wouldn't let us stream from our Amazon and other accounts. Our tablet didn't work also. Regular coffee pot was good to have. The bed was very comfy. Thanks for a very nice place.

Mini Winter Escape

Kismet was perfect for what we needed on this weekend getaway. We received warm-welcoming and departing messages, as well as offers to...reach out if there was anything we needed. These are definitely attentive hosts! This is a cooozy stay! The entire place is CLEAN, and the beds are QUITE comfortable! We loved that there are two bathrooms (sinks are on the outside), but that was a non-issue for us. The two fridges (one has a freezer) are not full size but should do the trick for a few days. It worked out just fine for us. One suggestion: To save any guesswork RE: the cooktop, get familiar with it by reading the short instructions in the guestbook located in the rear-bedroom. We happened to NOT be familiar with this type, but once we knew how it worked...it was fine. The guestbook gets you familiar with the property and has other useful information. They also offer a few games, puzzle books and other reading material (nice touch). We were on the second floor, which offered an unobstructed sunrise. Although it was somewhat cold, we still relaxed on the two chairs outside, taking in the peaceful silence. A nice size snack table is available as well (for outdoor snacking). The kitchen is nicely stocked for cooking. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan on a return trip to Kismet sometime in the future.

The property is convenient and we were able to walk to many of the things we wanted. There is a bike path that you can get on right by the property that takes you to the beach, or anywhere else on the island you want to go. There are scenic views of the creek and marsh, and the rental company is very attentive and easy to get a hold of.

Home away from home

Our stay was amazing- the room was clean, well-stocked and quiet. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants, rides, stores and ice cream places. My only complaint would be the safety issue of loose outlets. Otherwise, will definitely be booking again.

We were not sent any access codes for the door. Had to call multiple times and got wrong codes. Location was not where we expected to be. Sleeps 4 at the most.

Our 2 bedroom stay was the perfect size. It was right on the corner of the second floor so we felt like we have the balcony to ourselves. The staff was friendly and the communication was great. Will definitely stay again!
