  • Idyllic stone cottage with slate floors under a giant fig tree, 200 metre stroll to the picturesque town of Childers. Plenty of pubs and coffee shops and an IGA supermarket for all your requirements. Situated right on the Bruce Highway at 36a it’s impossible to get lost! Fully fenced to keep your pets safe. Open plan (there are no bedroom walls!) with air conditioning and an electric fireplace. Queen bed downstairs with 4 single beds on the mezzanine level. Cottage is located directly off the highway under a giant fig tree so traffic noise and wildlife are present. Small single carport with plenty of space for additional vehicle/s. Karen and Trevor were very helpful and great hosts. They even let our dog play with their two pups to run off some steam after being in the car all day.The stone cottage is really lovely with cosy and thoughtful touches - lovely fluffy robes, beautiful soaps, icecreams in freezer, etc - it’s all kept in good condition. We would stay here again.

Very cute and cosy cottage with thoughtful touches supplied. A few minutes walk to pubs, shops etc. everything you could want for a weekend away.

Fantastic hosts, really helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Beautiful little cottage in the heart of Childers, would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again.

A charming cottage! The host had lots of little welcoming items, such as beverages and treats and thoughtful touches around the cabin. It was a lovely stopover - clearly much thought went into the details.

Excellent location. Absolutely adorable cottage, it was the cutest, most unique place I've stayed. We loved it. The host came and said a hello when we arrived and was lovely.
