I rented this home for my daughter's boot camp graduation ceremony which was super close to the house. I heard there was a lot of traffic going to the naval Base and I wanted some place where I could just walk to the ceremony and this was a perfect solution. It was a 45-minute walk to the gate to the the Navy boot camp center. The home definitely felt homey and cozy. It is an older home and It could use a deep cleaning, it was easy to overlook this because of the cozy vibes and easy access to my daughter's graduation. They gave plenty of towels and washcloth to use. Fully stocked for cooking. Very quiet neighborhood. It's kind of out there in the middle of The suburbs so I definitely suggest getting a rental car to get to nearby restaurants or stores. I felt very safe in this home and in this neighborhood. If you're just wanting a nice place to relax with your graduate from the Navy and be able to just unwind, this is a perfect spot!!! We had a little hiccup when we arrived with a refrigerator but seriously after texting with the issue there was a maintenance guy within 5 minutes. The problem was solved and the maintenance guy was super sweet. Very great communication, very easy stay, And if I was to ever go back to this neighborhood I'd definitely book this place again.

My family came to the area for Navy Graduation. It was perfect. The host was very attentive and our stay was amazing! We wanted a place my family could be together instead of different hotel rooms. There is a great outdoor area as well with a patio table and chairs. Very Clean and the vibe was great. About a 10 minute drive to the base and the route we took to graduation only had us in traffic for about 30 minutes total. Perfect location for those attending graduation.

This place is perfect for anyone staying for their navy recruits graduation. Very close to base and lots of room for everyone. Our host was awesome. Had a few issues just with getting settled and she was great. Took care of everything extremely fast. Checked on us every day. I would highly recommend this vrbo.

Not Happy

Not what we expected for a rental home. Hardly anything in kitchen to cook a meal with, it was a struggle. Very dusty. Broken cabinets. Kitchen was aweful. Didn't use yard because weeds were really bad and furniture was dirty. Eating area was nice and beds were comfortable, bedrooms were decent, but dusty. Living room was comfortable. Also had to buy wash cloths for bathroom, they weren't provided. Air conditioning would shut off at 10 pm, we would sweat all night We made the best of it for the sake of just enjoying visiting our son, but we were so disappointed. Would not recommend at all.

RTC GRADUATION

This was the PERFECT location for my son's RTC Graduation. Literally 5 minutes or less, straight shot to the gate. The house is not perfect, but it worked perfect for us.

Perfect spot for Navy Graduation

This was a great stay. Cute house with all the amenities . The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything. Definitely recommend for any families coming in for Navy graduations, the house is five minutes away from Great Lakes Navy base.

Close great lakes

Is about 2 miles from great lakes for graduation. Layout is different. Sleeps 11 seats 5 or 6 in the living room, big table...half bath in kitchen...is cold in the winter...have to park in the back...walk around to front.can parknon the street but not overnight. The main bathroom with tyb sbower is high but has handrail. It snowed while we were there...owner shoveled sidewalk once. Overall it suit our need..its not high end but it was nice. Plenty of towels...no wash clothes...clean..

Perfect location for navy bootcamp graduation

Only good thing was location of the home in convenience to navy graduation. Neighborhood is sketchy, heard gunshots very nearby. Tv in main living room had hard time staying connected to streaming was very frustrating, otherwise ok stay.

It’s a great location to Great Lakes navy grad. I was impressed that they supplied trash bags and paper products. One room looked to be an addition, it got a little cold. Heaters were provided tho. I didn’t like not having access codes til I was in Chicago and trying to reach owners. All in all, it was great.

Excellent property, outstanding host!

This was my first booking with VRBO, we were in Chicago for my niece's Navy graduation. Sam, the host, was extremely communicative. I had sent him a question in the inbox and he called me within 3 minutes. The property is spacious, only 4 minutes from base and very close to a multitude of restaurants. Very clean, kitchen was not lacking in glasses / plates / accessories. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend Sam's house. Thank you again, Sam!!
