"After meeting our friends and spending an evening in Cambridge we returned to the crown and punchbowl for a night cap before bed and and found the bar was shut up and all staff had gone home. It was 10.45pm. So our evening ended quite abruptly. Our room which was on the first floor, was a little on the small side, with only a skyline window, and unfortunately the blind didn't keep the light out, so it was very bright at 5am. "Excellent accommodation I would highly recommend. Run by a very friendly couple. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was terrific. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."

"The main thing is that the hotel is in need of refurbishment - old bathroom fittings especially. NB There is no lift so access is difficult, as well as carrying luggage around quite large property. Also no room with no walk-in shower which again is a big problem fro accessibility issues, especially for elderly guests."

"Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. "
