Year round Log Cabin on Loon Lake. Minutes from skiing at Gore Mountain

Come enjoy this 5 bedroom (one is a log cabin bunk house for summer only) 2 full baths and outdoor shower, genuine log cabin in the Adirondacks with an updated beach, swimdeck and new dock. 12 minutes from Gore ski area! New gas fireplace insert in 2020. Heart pine floors, Adirondack accents set the stage for a great winter or summer experience. Updated kitchen, modern appliances, new beds, a spacious living area and 240 square foot screened in porch overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. Across a country road on the east side of our 2 acres, is easy access to your own private dock, swimming deck and beach loaded with swim toys (Kayaks, a paddle board and floats) 12 minutes to Gore Mountain, one of the largest ski areas in New York with 4 different mountains to ski. Easy access to many great restaurants, quaint shops, hiking trails, biking, golf courses, snowmobiling trails, cross country skiing/snow shoe trails, PLUS sledding, skating and free skiing at Dynamite Hill right in the center of Chestertown.

The Property
5 Bedrooms: 2 queens, 5 full sized beds ( one is the bunkhouse only available in summer). Sheets and towels included.

First floor; 1 Bedroom (Queen Bed), full bathroom with shower/tub, kitchen fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, kuerig coffee maker, pots pans and utensils, service for 10. Dining area with a bar made from a boat! Comfortable living and separate TV areas. Storage for skis on the screened in porch.

Wifi and 40 inch TV with Roku. Bose sound system. Board games.

Second floor has 3 bedrooms (one Queen Bed, one Double Bed and one with two Double Beds) and a full bath (outdoor shower coming spring 2019) Ironing Board and iron.
Bunkhouse: 2 full beds

Just 12 minutes to Gore Mountain.
Just over an hour to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain
20 minutes from Lake George and in the heart of the tri-lakes district in Chestertown.

Beautiful Spacious and Quiet

The property manager was amazing and communicated quickly with us before and during our trip to assist us with questions! He was accommodating with us regarding a couple small things and even sent someone over to check the propane tank. The view is beautiful and the area is so quiet and peaceful. We hope to come back in the summer to take advantage of the lake, the beach, and other outdoor amenities!

Great value

Great location and easy to find. Responsive host. Nicely stocked kitchen. Only issue we ran into were not enough towels for 10 people. Otherwise loved the stay and felt like it was great value!

Large cabin style house with great grounds and lake views

This cabin had a large floor plan with lots of space for our family to gather. Large dining table for meals and board games, lots of seating around the fireplace and tv area. The bedrooms were all good size and accommodated four adults and teens. The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals. The owner was very friendly, accommodating and responsive.

Cabin on Loon lake

Overall, it was a very good stay. WiFi, AC, Roku and the kayaks were all good amenities. Only complaint is the dryer did not work. We only found this out after we did a load.

Ladies Kayak Getaway

Our stay was wonderful! We loved the cabin and the bunk house. One area that we think needs an upgrade is the lighting in the sitting and TV area - we found it to be dark! Maybe some overhead lights would brighten it up. We were surprised that the cabin was not directly on the water - the photos looked like the cabin was closer to the beach and waterfront - surprised that we had to cross the road! However, the cabin was very clean, roomy and comfortable - I absolutely loved sleeping in the bunk house! Everyone thought the beds were also very comfortable and we absolutely enjoyed our kayak adventure on Loon Lake and Brant Lake very much. Location is excellent - a lot of restaurants near by and Stone Bridge and Caves was a treat for all of us! Thank you, Donna and Lady Kayakers

Great Cabin Close to Gore

We had a great stay. Very nice cabin. Only took off a star because there weren’t any towels and the dryer didn’t work. Otherwise, highly recommend.

What a beautiful location!

The view of Loon Lake from the dining room, screened in porch and fire pit was outstanding! There was plenty of firewood for a great bon fire each night, making for wonderful memories of stories, songs & smores! The dock, floating pad and kayak added to our family fun. The accommodations were decent for a log cabin in the woods.

Family Vacation

Check in was quick and easy and the cabin was very nice. I took a few stars off because the fridge was not new and did not have an ice maker as listed and some areas were dusty but not dirty (towel racks, porch chairs etc and beds were very soft and it presented back problems by the end of the week), We had a wonderful time and hope to go there again even thinking of next summer it it works out.. The lake was wonderful! Thank you
