"There were strong dog smells in the reception area, and the rooms often picked up cooking smells from the kitchen. The mattresses in the bedrooms were also too soft and should be replaced with firmer, more comfortable ones. Overall, the stay was fine for the price point, but anything over £70 per night would not represent good value for money."

"This is a lovely pub the staff very welcoming and a warm homely atmosphere. We had an evening meal which was nice, then an absolutely lovely breakfast. The room itself was ok I didn't sleep too well as the mattress was rock hard and so were the pillows so I woke up with a bad back. Also there was no shower which was very disappointing I don't like having to take a bath where hundreds of people have been"

"The property had helpful staff, and our room was large and clean,we expected breakfast but were told the earliest we could have breakfast was 9.00am not anything earlier. We wanted to be away by 8.30 .so this wa# not ideal. The whole place needed a good clean especially on the bar."

"The road outside is a little noisy but the bed is incredibly comfortable. Kitchen facilities are excellent and room has WiFi and Sky TV (although the TV can't be easily seen from the bed). Shower was good - certainly hot enough, and toiletries provided were a nice touch. "

"We stayed at Stanton Manor for one night - the hotel is beautiful in a lovely setting. The room had everything we needed, we didn't have dinner but did have a drink in the bar, and then breakfast had a great selection too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will stay again if we are needing to be in the area."
