Yellow House| 2 BR Cottage Dtwn Cville/Belmont

Newly furnished and updated cottage located in the Belmont neighborhood - one of the best areas to access all that Charlottesville has to offer.
Yellow House is the perfect home base for small families, couples retreats, and wedding weekends. Walk to the Downtown Pedestrian Mall in just 10-minutes or to "Downtown Belmont" on Hinton Ave in under 5-minutes, home to some of Charlottesville's best restaurants. Jump onto the interstate in less than 5 minutes for easy access to Monticello and most of the area's wineries and breweries.

The Yellow House is a classic Belmont 2 bed, 1.5 bath home (sleeps 4) that has been thoughtfully updated to provide a spacious feel and flow throughout this 1016 square foot house. All new finishes and furnishings give this classic home a fresh, new feel.
Upon entry, is a spacious living room with a half-vaulted ceiling with a skylight providing ample natural light. The living room also contains a couch, smart tv and SONOS soundbar and a record player with a select number of curated records. Above the TV is a loft accessed via a rolling ladder and wall-to-wall bookshelves dividing the loft and living room.
The living room opens into the rest of the house, starting with a dining room with seating for 4 containing a built-in bench underneath the bay window. Opposite the dining room are the 2, Queen bedrooms and shared full bath in-between the rooms.
The kitchen features a classic farmhouse style and is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and serve a full meal. It also offers a brand new fridge, 4 burner stove, breakfast table for 2, and access to the back deck. The half bath is located off the kitchen.
The back deck is a two-tier deck with seating for 4 and a gas grill. Off of the back, is a small yard that is shared with the owners of Yellow House (who also happen to live next door). The owners are extremely hospitable and respect the privacy of their guests.
Off-street parking is provided (enough for 2 cars) just to the side of the house. The front of the house features a newly finished screened-in porch with a bench swing and a fenced-in front yard.

Sweet cottage in C-Ville

We loved our stay at the cottage! It was a sweet, quiet neighborhood. We loved the walkability to several great restaurants and the town mall area. It’s only a 7 minute drive to Monticello. We were able to visit many wineries, all less than 30 minutes away. If it hadn’t rained during our stay, we definitely would have hiked at Shenandoah. Next time! Thanks for a lovely, clean, thoughtful vacation rental for our 10th wedding anniversary!

Weekend getaway

Perfect Family getaway

This was the perfect house for our family of four. We loved the cozy living room, screened in front porch, and comfy beds. We enjoyed walking to Belmont for coffee in the morning and for dinner and shopping in the evening. The restaurants were all delicious. It’s a quick drive to the downtown mall, but we also liked walking there. There’s lots of nice homey touches too, including plants, tons of books and a record player.

Great location and very comfortable accommodations. We explored Charlottesville and the Wineries during the day and were able to walk to breakfast and dinner every day for fantastic meals. Can’t wait to return!!

Perfect stay especially with a toddler

This house was awesome. It’s in a great location in Belmont. It’s very easy to walk to a ton of good spots, and vineyards and hikes are a very short drive away. The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to be totally comfortable. It also felt very safe for our toddler immediately, so that was a huge benefit. We could just let her roam freely without worrying. She really enjoyed it too.

Perfect Charlottesville spot!

This was the best spot for exploring Charlottesville! Close to everything, comfortable rooms and good working A/C. We had a baby and toddler with us and appreciated the extra things for kids like the books, bathroom stool, and swingset in the backyard. Would definitely stay again!

In the heart of C-ville

Perfect location in the heart of residential C-Ville. Charming historic cottage with modern updates - the perfect size for a small family (we stayed with our 6yo and he loved it - especially the super cool loft and backyard) or small group of friends. The owners (who live nextdoor and are super nice and accommodating) have thought of everything…and there were tons of nice little touches like eclectic record and book collections, kids games, and a great sound system.

Loved the Yellow House!

The Yellow House is in a great neighborhood with lots of nearby restaurants (Belle, Conmole, Tavola, The Local), easy walk to the Mall, and a short drive to trails and Monticello. It was also a cozy place to post up when the weather turned ugly! If you’re thinking about staying in C’ville, don’t hesitate to book here - we’ll certainly be back!

cozy quaint cottage in a great location!

This was our second stay here. Fabulous hosts, cozy light filled cottage, easy parking and easy access to UVA, restaurants, and activities in and around Charlottesville. Its an easy walk to the downtown mall and great restaurants in Belmont.

Yellow Cottage

We loved the house. It was very clean, well appointed, and close to everything. The beds were super comfortable. The only issue we had is that we are not familiar with the front door locking system and had trouble figuring out how to lock the door when we left. Perhaps an explanation in the check in/check out instructions could be included to help your technologically stunted guests.

Adorable Bungalow in a Perfect Location

We loved this place. I stayed here for two nights with my two kids (ages 13 and 17). My son slept on the couch and my daughter and I each had comfortable rooms. The decor is lovely and the layout is really practical and charming. I could live happily in a little house like this. Lots of attention to detail was shown and since my environment really matters to me I really appreciated the thoughtful and classy boho vibe decor. Great screened in porch and sunlit breakfast table at which my daughter worked. Kitchen was stocked and super cute. Kids liked the “shelf” in the shower/tub combo for all their stuff. Generous dining table we did not use but would be great if you hosted a friend or two for dinner when in town. The location is good as it is near the downtown mall (walking distance for most). Anyhow, we thoroughly enjoyed it and I would come back.
