Shangri-La is a comfortable, eclectic condo located in the heart of Center Street, which puts you a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean beach and right in the middle of the Folly Beach restaurant & shop row! This cozy Folly Beach condo is perfect for a weekend or weekly getaway for a small family or group of friends. Inside the condo is a small kitchen and living room which is complete with a full size fridge & stove, dining table and cable TV.

Once you enter the beautiful blue front door, you will find a kitchenette; a dining area that comfortably seats 4 people; a living room; the bathroom with combined tub & shower; and the bedroom with two brand new queen-sized Tempur-pedic mattresses and cable TV. Off-street parking for medium sized car in one dedicated but compact parking space in the parking lot is included in the rental rate. No oversized trucks please.

Beach vacay

Had a great girls vacation in this great location. Apartment was clean and well supplied. Had beach towel and chairs. First time at Folly Beach. This apartment was in the heart of everything. Enjoyable few minutes walk to beach. Near coffee and ice cream shop. Flew into Charleston. Made an uber stop to Walmart in st James island to pick up few days of groceries. Would definitely stay again.

Clean and tidy

Well appointed unit in very convenient location. Only drawback was the very loud music from the Tacoboy bar on the adjoining property that went on till 11 pm or later sending bass reverberations throughout unit. I stayed four nights and the music was on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday and Monday nights were blissfully quiet.

Perfect location and condo

I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a simple condo in the PERFECT location. Comfortable beds and great hospitality. The one thing we wished we had was a washer and dryer.

Perfect location!

We couldn’t have asked for a better centralized location to stay in. It was the perfect size for us and had everything we would need (even if we didn’t use everything!) we loved being able to walk everywhere within minutes. Condo is adorable and very clean as well! Looking forward to coming back!

Spring Break in Folly

My husband and I visited at the end of march with our 5 year old. I love finding less busy areas to vacation. The location is great! Walking distance to the beach acess/pier. Great little coffee shop right downstairs. Although we read this condos description on vehicle size, we struggled with the extremely tight parking space. We rented a small SUV but had to try tonpark between a saburban and another large vehicle. Frusterating, but not the property owners fault. Taco boys is right next door with live music. My toddler loved going on the deck and listending right outside the condo. Small condo but comfortable beds. The only complain was the rugs do not feel good on feet so bring slippers! Everything else was great!

Perfect little beach spot

Very close to everything in "downtown" Folly Beach. Several nice restaurants and your typical beach/tourist shops. Very close to the beach. The space was small but comfortable.

Everything was good, except for actual location. We are 2 older mature women. The steps were a little much for us, but ok. The smell of the garbage and restaurant grease was not good. Seeing numerous air conditioning units and dirty standing water was not wonderful.

I loved this little condo it was perfect for a small trip. Parking is very tough but luckily you do get one reserved space although very small. The place is just very conveniently located near everything the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Perfect place to stay!!

Family ocean experience

This property was perfectly located in the heart of Folly Beach. We were steps away from great restaurants, shops, and the beach. We spent several days swimming and boogie boarding in the ocean. We broke up the beach days with several activities including sea turtle hatching at Edisto Island and the South Carolina Aquarium. The property was clean and had everything we needed. We had a dedicated parking spot which was great but it was sometimes pretty tight getting in and out due to the proximity of other vehicles. Other than parking, we couldn’t have been more pleased.

Although the location is nice because it is exactly in the center of folly, and walking distance to everything, there are a few detractors. Yes, it is a very small place, but the parking trying to get in was basically impossible. we have a 2020 Explorer and could not even park in our assigned spot because it was so tight. just be prepared to park on the street if you are going during the busy months because the parking lot is crammed with cars going all sort of which ways. Also, the pull out couch mattress was disgusting. At least 15 years old, covered in stains, ripped, spots on it. I am surprised if no one has complained about this. I would strongly recommend either removing this as a sleeping place from the listing or just buying a new mattress. For the amount we paid, I expect to have a more sanitary sleeping space.

very close to shops, restaurants & the beach

We were there with our children 7&9 for 5 nights. The location is close to everything! We didn’t have to move our car once. The accommodations were lovely and perfect for what we needed. We would definitely stay here again. It was close to all the beach shops, restaurants (our favorites were Rita’s & Taco Boy) and even walked to the laundromat once during our stay. It is a short, very easy walk to the beach. Communication was great and questions we had were answered right away. The only downside were the tvs are kind of small & the smell of trash in the alley where you enter (only bc it is located near the back of a restaurant, but neither were dealbreakers or would prevent us from booking here again. We had a great vacation and if you want to be in the middle of the action, this is a perfect spot.
