"I was disappointed that the bathroom in Room 363 already had some maintenance issues. The toilet was loose and wobbled every time we used it, and the shower handle was also loose and moved around when adjusting the water temperature. For a newer property, I expected these basic fixtures to be in better condition. The complimentary breakfast was a simple American-style breakfast with a few hot items, which was convenient but nothing particularly special. Overall, the hotel has great potential...

"I was planning my Big Bear get-away a few months ago and was taking into consideration, price, location and activities. This place checked all the boxes and was literally close to everything. Staff was very friendly and room was very cozy. Food is within a 5 - 10-minute walk. Nice little shops all over and everyone is so friendly. if you want a nice little relaxing weekend or 3-day weekend, this is it. The lake was right next to the motel if you wanted to take a walk there. I highly recommend...

"I hate to give such a bad review. My family began staying at the Goldmine Lodge in the early 1990s, so it had some nostalgic value. This weekend was the first time since 2007, and the property is really run-down. The wall heater didn't work, and the BBQs were rusted out and unusable. Most of the switches didn't work, and the kitchen window was broken."

I made repeated calls to the front office until the pool area was quiet. Our family was very upset and unable to sleep peacefully."
