"Long time traveler here, this is the BEST place to stay if you are in Mancos area or visiting Mesa verde NP. The home is so clean and the hosts are the nicest people you will ever meet. Also, their breakfast is absolutely delicious and the conversations around the breakfast table were just as lovely! I would give them 15 out of 10 if I could. Highly recommended!"

"Con-- hard to find the room, building built into a hill so our window looked out at tires in the parking lot, noisy when motorcycle left in the morning, hallway noises easily heard. PROS-- outweighed the cons. Really comfortable mattress! Very clean and mostly well maintained. Helpful staff, used the late check in kiosk which was a bit confusing having never used one before but the live person was also kind, patient and helpful. "The location of the hotel was excellent and easy to get to. It is close to Walmart, so that was convenient for our situation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was just cleaned prior to our arrival, so we know that the room was clean. The room was also spacious. The refrigerator worked well, and we put the microwave to good use. The channel line up, etc. was different than indicated on the room's paperwork, but there was a note in the paperwork stating that the line-up was...

"The room was VERY dirty. The floor was gross. The lamps and tables were all covered in dust. I shouldn’t have to clean a hotel room before staying. The hallways & staircase had not been vacuumed in a while. The staff at the front desk when checking in seemed fine, but the staff when checking out was rude,"

"We had a relaxing, clean, and comfortable stay in Cortez. The proximity to Mesa Verde and Hovenweep was a big bonus. The owners of the casita were terrific to work with. We would stay here again!"
