Quiet but convenient

We really enjoyed our stay at Les Glycines, Noreen is a great host with a beautiful house and garden. Situated on the edge of a lovely village with all the essentials (boulangerie, bar, bank, shop) in walking distance, the gîte had everything we needed in a peaceful rural setting. Easy to get to from the ferry port at Ouistreham, close to Bayeux and D-Day beaches.We loved it!

Perfect home base for 2 people to explore Normandy

The pictures reflect the accommodation very well. Warm welcome from the landlady including a small personal greeting. Quiet location, very clean, lovingly furnished, well-equipped eat-in kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, dishes, etc.), stable internet, cozy sitting area at the back of the house. The landlady was always available to answer questions and provided us with lots of information about the surrounding area. Limited shopping facilities in the village. Tolle Unterkunft mitten in der Normandie

Das kleine Appartement ist sehr ruhig gelegen, rund herum gibt es viel Natur. Die nahe gelegene Abtei ist sehr sehenswert. Für Gäste die es sehr ruhig mögen, ist das die ideale Unterkunft. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr aufgeschlossen und warmherzig und hat sich immer gut um alles gekümmert. Das in der Ferienwohnung befindliche Schild "Enter as strangers - leave as friends" trifft voll zu. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hinfahren!

This gitte is a little gem full of love and care. My friend and I came to Cerisy la Foret for the concert of Luc Arbogast. But we got more than we bargained for. The gitte of Noreen is in walking distance of the Abbey and the centre of the village with a pub and a bakery. Port au Besson, chateau Balleroy all worthwhile a visit. As a guest of Noreen everything is taken care for. Lots of places to sit round the house and enjoy the beautifull garden. This is rural life at its best! Thank you, and your cats, very much for the best stay in Normandie you could ever whish for.

Perfect hideaway

Noreen's gîte is een super romantische plek waar je kunt genieten van de rust en ruimte van het Franse platteland en tegelijkertijd een mooie uitvalsbasis om Normandië te verkennen. Bayeux, St.Lo en de landingsstranden zijn een half uurtje rijden. De gîte is knus en bevat alles wat je nodig hebt, zowel binnen als buiten is het heerlijk ontspannen. Enige aandachtspuntje: het bed slaapt heerlijk, maar als je langer bent dan 1.90 is het net iets te kort ;) Noreen is een gezellige gastvrouw, die er is als je haar nodig hebt. De twee katten maken het plaatje compleet! Kortom: aanrader!

Wundervoll

wir hatten wundervolle, erholsame Tage dort verbracht. Ruhe und Natur pur. Sehr zu empfehlen. Tolle Gastgeberin, sehr herzlich und super nett. von dort aus kann man die Umbgebung sehr gut erkunden und viele schöne Eindrücke sammeln. Sehr schöne Wohnung, mit toller Klimaanlage, alles wie beschrieben. Wir kommen gerne wieder und nochmals danke für die tolle Zeit.

Very clean and quiet

This was a perfect spot to do the DDay sites. We loved the tranquility of being in the countryside. Gite was very clean and had everything we needed. Noreen was very hospitable even providing a baguette, cheese, tomatoes and cider for our arrival.

Heerlijk!

Heerlijke vakantie gehad in deze gite. Alles is aanwezig en superschoon. De omgeving is prachtig en er heerst absolute rust, maar in de buurt zijn genoeg leuke plaatsjes te bezoeken. Noreen is heel gastvrij en hartelijk, de katten heel gezellig. Wij komen graag nog een keer terug!

Revisiting Normandy

Very light, airy and roomy property. Let down by the quaint assortment of crockery and cutlery. Only one saucepan had a lid. Needs more storage space in kitchen area. A bit further to the village than we expected. The butcher was on his annual holidays!

A most relaxing time

We have just had a really lovely two weeks in this relaxing little gite. Noreen is a great Lady who does everything she can to insure you have a memorable holiday. We did have a few issues but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our one and only criticism is that the outside seating area could be made more comfortable with a bit of TLC. Otherwise we are more than happy to recommend this gite to everyone who wishes to get away from it all.
