"Pet friendly but charge $50 per night, which seems silly. Older cottages, common in Carmel, but some of the furniture in the rooms need updating- stains on rugs, tears on fabrics. Tree sap on outdoor chairs.
Biggest issue is that in a room for 4 people - 2 get a converted leather couch that flattens to a full, not a queen but a full-size. And then there's nowhere to put your suitcases. Staff only offered a room upgrade for second night, but we were settled and unpacked and leaving the next day...

"I checked-in online that morning like it suggested and my room was still not ready by check in time. The room was dirty, someone's shoes were left in a closet. Hair on the bathroom sink.
The bed was comfortable, at least. That and the fact that it was quiet were the only good things about this place. "

"Everything was great. Small things could be better: In the room, "Heat" did nothing, but setting the Thermostat to 'cooling' actually switched the HEAT and fireplace on... (room 104). Also, it would be lovely if the top windows could be somehow covered like the patio ones - it gets super bright in the morning.
But overall, great stay, one of the best in Carmel, and Parking is a big plus."

"Wife and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We had an experience where someone entered our room and went through our bags and swapped a nice corkscrew that we brought from home with a crappy plastic one. The staff claim they checked the cameras and nobody but us entered the room. Very suspicious this item we have never seen or own happen to show up in my bag and our wood handled corkscrew is gone? "We’re doing a two-week road trip of California and this has to be the worst place we’ve stayed in. Although the rooms are perfectly fine in terms of cleanliness and comfort, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the rooms next to you to the outside noise. "When I first arrive the staff who helped me it was pretty kind, the room was kind of clean the carpet looked like dirty, the hot tub wasn't working the pool was open but it was a little dirty, the breakfast it was ok they had cereal bagels juice muffins coffe and some other things, the area of the hotel was pretty calm I would recommend this hotel "
