"Property, staff, and local were all ideal. The bathroom floor and shower were very slippery with any over spray or liquids. There is AC, but it is very weak. Rooms are spacious in comparison to other European hotels."

"Great location. Short walk to shopping and Old Town. Our room had high ceilings and big windows, and was larger than what we were expecting. A/C was great and staff was wonderful. Parking is somewhat problematic as it is off site at a nearby parking garage, but you’re able to get a discounted rate which was greatly appreciated as we were here three nights."

"Maison Lamartine was an excellent stay in Nice. But a short walk to the beach, the property is immaculate. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. The only thing that we regret is we had to take breakfast in a hurry, as we had a train to catch. The breakfast was full of local and fresh pastries, jams, and cheeses. We wish we could have enjoyed a two hour breakfast. The place is top notch and will gladly return."

"We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this hotel with our two children. It is perfectly situated in the downtown area and the view of the cathedral is stunning. You are close to restaurants, cafes, luxury shopping, parks, and much more. The beach is a simple and straight 15 minute walk. The breakfast included was also delicious. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit snug, but they are cozy and we didn’t plan on spending much time inside anyway. Don’t hesitate to book it!"

"There was no fridge or microwave in the room, however small items could be kept in fridge behind front desk. A huge issue for us travelling with kids was no access to a microwave anywhere on the property. It was quite expensive but a beautiful well run hotel with helpful staff and very nice rooms. One suggestion would be in the family suite there is zero space next to the sink to place amenities. A shelf would have been helpful."

"This was our 6th time staying at this hotel: Did feel this time it wasn’t as good as previous stays. Breakfast was very good, however a limited menu in the evening we stayed 4nights and the menu didn’t change.The outdoor pool is open until 9 at night and is by the restaurant so can get noisy with children using it in the evening. Rooms are clean and service very good so is the location which is very close to shops etc."

"The hotel was immaculately clean and pristine, with all the essentials available. The location is excellent — right in the center, surrounded by restaurants and supermarkets, with easy access to both tram and bus lines. All the staff at Best western Alba made all the difference. The front desk checked us in early when our flight landed and gave genuine recommendations, not just a map. Steven went out of his way to help us resolve our issues, and we felt right at home. "The hotel and staff were fine if I were paying $400 a night for a room. However, it was approximately $900 per night. There was nothing about that hotel that was worth $900 per night and I’m very familiar with hotels, locations, and high season rates throughout Europe. The only explanation I have is that it was the night before the Iron Man triathlon in Nice, which ended up getting canceled because of excessive heatwave."
