"Great stay! The rooms (we booked 4) were clean and comfortable. Beds comfortable, pillows great. Breakfast menu was extensive and fresh. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. The pool was clean and nice and the hot tub was great. Couldn't complain about a thing!"

"Remodeled old hotel with outdoor entrances. No elevator, but each of the two buildings has only two floors. Water leaking onto concrete balcony in a couple places. No smoking allowed, yet the room smelled like someone had smoked in the room. Breakfast was fair: scrambled eggs, muffin with American cheese, juices from dispenser, cereal, awful bakery, coffee and tea. The bacon was horrible. Showerhead is quite small; I have never seen one that small. Bathtub was so old that the top coat was worn...

"Really good stay caring staff and felt like a safe hotel, updated rooms and reasonable rates would stay again!"

"This location smelled like a marijuana factory. One room completely had the toilet seat broken and they moved us up a floor. There was not a hairdryer, iron or in room coffee pot and the tv did not work. Luckily we had family near by and just used this place to sleep and shower. The room was dingy and it continued to smell like someone was smoking in the building. It can’t just be from outside smokers."

"Very impressed with the Essenhaus and would recommend a stay here to anyone. The rooms were spacious, nicely appointed and superior to typical chain hotel rooms. The hallways and common areas were tastefully appointed as well, The entire property, inside and out, was immaculate. Walking/biking paths through the beautiful grounds led to the Pumpkinvine trail. Restaurant on site had an excellent buffet. There is also a bakery and shops on site. Swam in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub. Can't...

"I read a bunch of the reviews that raved about the breakfast but I just found it to be a very basic continental breakfast. I would grab a banana and after my first two days, there weren't any and the fruit dwindled down for the rest of the week and never refilled. "
