"The property and host were great. The waterfront was pretty green, but the lake itself was nice. Big plus for big groups: never ran out of hot water when doing showers for 6 adults and 7 children! Grill could be upgraded, but otherwise basically everything but groceries was provided. Take advantage of the boat! "

"We were here for a family wedding with various family members coming and going — some for an afternoon visit, some for overnight. Our 89-year-old matriarch even stayed for one night. It accommodated everyone’s needs nicely and was in a great location for easy access to restaurants, the movie theater and the wedding held in a nearby small town."

"We had a great time and loved the nearby parks and trails to walk, ride bikes, and pick-up local food and drink. We will be back again in the future."

"We came for a family event in Dunn County, so the house in Menomonie was a good location. The property is lovely, with everything we needed. The table and chairs just outside the apartment were a great place to have coffee in the morning. We all enjoyed time on the deck by the river, and saw the eagle, and several other types of birds. "

"This is an amazing property and a great stay. I always try to leave something to be improved on however: There is a small hornet/wasp nest somewhere under the stairs down to the lake, near the shed. Several people were stung. But it was not a constant problem so the nest must be small, but probably worth removing. Also, there was not enough toilet paper (at least that we could find) to cover all bathrooms so we had to buy some. But like I said overall very very nice and would definitely...

"This was a great place for two families to share a long weekend with all of our adult kids. Everyone had their own space and at the same time there were so many nice common areas to gather. We ended up with great weather, but if it hadn’t been nice outside we would’ve spent more time in the game room. Everyone enjoyed the space and great memories were made."

"Gorgeous area and beautiful cabin. It was a hot weekend, but the AC kept the cabin cool. We spent an entire day sitting outside watching the river flow by, and we saw so many beautiful birds while we were there. "

From the comfort and size of the well maintained and fully stocked house and yard (lawn furniture, bbq, and fire pit) to the beauty overlooking a large horse farm bustling with activity and lots of horses all just minutes from downtown Eau Claire. "Check in was very easy and the host was readily available as questions arose.The kitchen is well-stocked. It was great to have another fridge/freezer for drinks and ice. We cooked all our meals, so it was a bit tight for a group of 16 - but we made do my swapping out cooking and dish duties."

"Sadly we came into town from upstate New York for a funeral, but this house and its location were just perfect! Our extended family had a place to meet after the funeral where we found a space that was inviting and relaxing. We laughed, we hugged, and we shared memories. The time spent with family was wonderful. This is such a beautiful well maintained house nestled in the perfect location. Thank you so much for allowing us the use of your beautiful home!! "

During our stay we fished from the pier, used the paddle boats and row boat provided. The lake is not super busy and relatively quiet. Hung out by the fire pit and enjoyed relaxing. The kids and adults enjoyed playing the yard games provided. We went to a few breweries and cheese places that are close....
