"The pool was refreshing and necessary during our humid late January visit. Our hostess was extremely responsive. "

"Our stay at Pavones Point was perfect! The location is right at the top point of Pavones surf break. Walk right across the road and paddle out…or walk a little down to the right for a bit less intense wave. The condo was clean and spacious…had everything we needed. Clean towels, comfortable beds, coffee maker, toaster, blender. No salt or pepper and no trays if you plan on making bacon or roasting anything. And no full length mirrors but the location makes up for that!"

"Nice large property on a beautiful piece of land. Very easy check in and the easiest check out process out there. The house was clean and aired out, no musty smells! Kitchen very well equipped, beds were comfortable and spaces were large and airy. We loved the pool. It was the BEST part of the stay! I'd stay here again hands down."

"Generally positive experience. The house was not as isolated as we anticipated. In fact there was a fair amount of traffic on the rough road behind. Lots of bird life - especially macaws. And lots of monkeys. The beach is not really a swimming beach because of the rocky bottom, but Matapalo beach is only about a 25 minute walk away. We stayed three nights, which was enough. The house has the basics. I’m surprised they don’t provide some basic cooking ingredients, such as cooking oil and...

"This house has everything you need and host keeps it very clean. I was so impressed of how close to the beach it is and so sound it by nature; the sound of waves from the ocean was definitely a plus. When we first arrived the first thing we saw was two happy and cute monkeys on the very top of the matapalo tree. It made us take some time to start admiring the beauty of that place. I didn’t have any issues. John and Oscar were always very reachable for questions or advice. I would definitely go...

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathroom set up was one of the nicest I’ve seen in Costa Rica. "What a marvelous time we had immersed in the open life between this beautiful beach and wild mangrove river. The host went above and beyond to arrange our desired trips kayaking, exploring Corcovado, enjoying the Gulf, massages, birding, and suggesting options for food experiences. He even suggested the shuttle from San Jose and the hotel to use there as well. Know that Punta Preciosa is remote. It is wild. It is 25 minutes by taxi to town, so come prepared with food and your desired beverages....

"Our experience in this amazing house in this special place in Pavones exceeded the expectations of all 8 friends who were there. We enjoyed the contact with nature, the pool that is always very well looked after, the ice bath and the table tennis court, in addition to the other comforts it offers. "We spent 4 nights here at casa sunrisa and they were incredible! The owners are both super responsive and over the top helpful. The place has all that you could need, despite feeling totally different as it is wide open to nature. We were fortunate to do a number of different hikes with William. These were all great. However, the space itself is situated so that you see tons of animals right from the backyard. We saw a tyra, sloth, scarlet maccaws, 3/4 monkey varieties, agouti, iguanas all from...
