Viatges a Cavern Quarter

The location is great, the parking is handy and the room is beautiful! It was room 6 on the back of the house and was very quiet. The beds were comfortable and the fridge was handy. But, of all the double sockets you could only use 1 half of it if you were lucky... they were a bit wobbly and you couldn't plug a second plug into the other half of it which meant if you had your phone charging next to the bed you couldnt have the lamps plugged in.... someone was aware of this as none of them were plugged in! The bottom of the shower was a bit yucky.... a toothbrush along the edges and in the corners might be a plan.... the cover for the plug hole was broken and kicking around the bottom of the shower and the shower wasnt working properly.... the fact the button was missing from the front of the electric shower was concerning in itself but adding to that I tried every setting possible for about 20 minutes in 34 degree heat until my fingers were wrinkly on both hands and could not achieve anything other than scolding hot or freezing cold. It was the back of 9 at night and 3 of us needed a shower after a long day driving and I didnt want to start messaging owner (theres no reception) at that time of night... but the experience was torture, we felt worse after the shower than before and the bathroom was streaming with water, surprised we didnt set fire alarm off with the steam! Also.... maybe a bit much to ask but the addition of a fan would have been appreciated.

Booked 1 night as a relaxing get away. The pool, steam room, and sauna were great. Sadly the jacuzzi that i had been looking forwards to was closed for cleaning which was disappointing. Unfortunately there were a few negatives. Firstly i was on the second floor and on exiting the lift was greeted with an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke which was not pleasant. The room it self was nice but the pillows were extremely hard and seemed as though an oversized pillow have been put in a pillow case too small. I coukd not use them. The shower was damaged and had no off position meaning it was difficult to stop the shower without turning on the bath tap. The sink was also blocked and drained extremely slowly. These things let what coukd have been a lovely stay down.

This is an honest review. We loved the vibe of the hotel. The staff was trying and were helpful to a fault. The area the hotel is in is quite run down and I wouldn’t want to be walking alone at night. I understand that sometimes staff can’t work , but the restaurant and pub were closed the first night which meant calling for food delivery. The beds were good , but the floor was dirty , the toilet was dirty with hair on the back of the toilet seat. We had to go down and get toilet paper. The hotel is walking distance to the major attractions, during the daylight hours. Again , the staff was great and tried hard. I got the impression that perhaps the ownership group was young and I admire that. Honestly have to give it a 3/5. If you want funky and character this place has it. All the best! Chris.

Clean room. Very spacious with good beds, large tv with plenty of channels. Really good bathroom. Excellent location but surprisingly quiet. Minor disappointment was the hefty deposit per person - although possibly/maybe understandable. Door security by code - just make sure you have your goggles & not the beer kind. Overall - a really good experience.

Avoid this hotel if you are not teenager or in a bachelor/hen party group. Nightclub from 11pm to 5:30am right below the rooms. Good location and spacious rooms but if you appreciate your sleep and have hard time to sleep in techno music, go somewhere else.
