"We had a very pleasant stay overall. The hotel has a charming retro style, and while the rooms are a bit older, they are well maintained and have a lot of character. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The owner and staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made the whole stay feel very personal. There is plenty of parking available, and the hotel is very pet friendly. There is also a nice garden and lots of outdoor space, which made it perfect for walking...

"Come here if you'd like to find out what great Italian home cooking tastes like. We had two diners here, and regret we didn't have more. The minestrone soup, lasagna and aubergine Parm are so fresh and refreshing, even though I'm used to the great Italian restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It's nice to have a comforting dinner overlooking the lake, after a day of sight seeing, and finishing with home made apple cake and ice cream or rum with chocolate."

"We spent 5 wonderful days in May at the Belvedere. The rooms have an incredible lake view and are just lovely. The breakfast, included, has a generous selection. We dined 3 nights at the hotel restaurant which is absolutely elegant and offers delicious food. The staff was helpful and very courteous. The island is very small and everything is “right there”. Definitely a place we will remember and go back to!"

"Great hotel! I stayed here with my dad during the Oceanman event. The location is perfect, as it's only a few meters from the start area of the Half Oceanman race. We received a very warm welcome, and all the staff were exceptionally friendly. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The pizza was delicious, light, and well prepared. "Staff are excellent, extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful but there are one or two things that I would expect in a five star hotel namely - no mirror in the bedroom, no heating, the room was very chilly, the safe is far too small and the water wasn’t very hot. Nothing major was wrong but just a few niggles that shouldn’t have to be brought to the staff’s attention."
