"We were a group of 8 fairly experienced hikers from the Monument/Co Springs area wanting to knock out the 5 big peaks in this area. We absolutely loved this location as it was perfect launch spot for all of our hikes allowing us to get early start and make it back for a shower/bath and make dinner before heading out the next morning. "This place is great place for large family groups and it is in the middle of Lake City; everything within walking distance. Our host , Jim, was very helpful and had a lot of good tips about town and local activities. Highly recommend this property. "

"This is the cutest little place in a fantastic location. It had everything we needed for our 10 day stay and even extra amenities such as a full complement of spices and several games. They were so accommodating for our little pup too. I would highly recommend this place so you have easy walking access to Lake City’s downtown and several restaurants. "

"Address was not correct on the email from VRBO. Cabin advertised was not the one we were put in. Floor was not vacuumed. River on property is amazing. Don’t expect much more than a camp house. This was all fine for 4 guys, glad the wives didn’t come lol! Property lacks upkeep. Still a great vacation in Lake city."

"Jim was fantastic. Reached out early with check in info. He met us upon arrival to give us info on the house, some area history, and some trail suggestions. Was a great host. The house was as advertised, old but updated and very functional. Great location. Can’t really say anything negative. "

"Our family had a great stay at Oleo Ranch. We enjoyed daily moose sightings and exploring the beautiful ranch. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay. The absence of WiFi allowed our family to connect on a different level. We will definitely be back! "
