"Great and very comfortable"

"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Clean and quiet hotel. No aircraft noise heard at all. Polite staff. Room 668’s shower left the shower’s tray partly blocked and almost about to spill out on to the tiled floor. Nasty drain smells from the shower was the clue to the problem! Air conditioning system not very affective at all."

"The hotel was good for £58 a night just before flying. The lady behind the desk was absolutely lovely when we checked in. The rooms were clean but they miss out on detailed cleaning but for one night, it isn’t an issue. Room was huge, we walked in and said ‘woah’! Very close to the airport, easy bus services that drop you off just outside the services. Also very close to multi different food places and they had their own separate car park from the services one."

"Perfect place to stay overnight before a flight from Stansted. Lots of choice for your help yourself breakfast. Wasn’t made aware that you could leave your car there and take a taxi to the airport. Would have definitely saved some money. Maybe this could be highlighted more."

"not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent"

"After meeting our friends and spending an evening in Cambridge we returned to the crown and punchbowl for a night cap before bed and and found the bar was shut up and all staff had gone home. It was 10.45pm. So our evening ended quite abruptly. Our room which was on the first floor, was a little on the small side, with only a skyline window, and unfortunately the blind didn't keep the light out, so it was very bright at 5am. "The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. "
