We have an independent house restored from an ancient stone grinder Which is situated in Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, a wonderful medieval village in the heart of Liguria dating back to the 11th century and 15 minutes by car from the Italian Riviera and the highway (exit: Albenga, 100 km from Nice Airport, 80 from Genoa Airport).
The typical stone houses of the historical center climb up on the mountain to reach the castle Which rises imposing and commanding on the Barbena Rock, 1142 meters high, from Which the village takes its name.
The residency, so called "Ca du maxin" ( "The miller's house"), unique to it: has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen with dining room, a large living room with fire place and two beautiful terraces. The house can host four people. "Ca du maxin" is situated in the historical center with an amazing view of the village and the surrounding mountains where the silence imposes its presence. The residency can not be Reached by car Because of the narrow streets but it offers a luggage service from the car park just outside of the village.
The house can be rented for at least one week (€ 400-600 per week).
We offer special arrangement for long stays or groups.

Nous avons une maison indépendante restaurée à partir d'un ancien moulin en pierre here if trouve à Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, a merveilleux village médiéval au cœur de la Ligurie datant du 11ème siècle et à 15 minutes en voiture dès la mère ( "Riviera flowers ") et de l'autoroute (sortie: Albenga; A100 km de Nice, à 80 km de Gênes).
Typiques les maisons en pierre du center historique grimpent sur la montagne pour rejoindre le château here if dresse imposant sur le Rocher Perce Barbena, 1142 mètres de haut, dont le village prend son nom.
The residence, ainsi appelé "Ca du maxin" ( "la maison du meunier") est un unique: deux chambres, une salle de bains, cuisine avec une salle à manger, a grand salon avec feux ouvert ainsi que deux belles terrasses. La maison peut accueillir quatre / six personnes. Ca du Maxin est situé dans le center historique avec une vue imprenable sur le village et les montagnes environnantes ou le silence règne. Elle ne peut pas être atteinte en voiture à cause des rues étroites ( "alleyways"), the corn offers a service de bagages depuis le parking juste à l'extérieur du village.
La maison peut être au moins une semaine pour louée (€ 400-600 a week).
Nous offrons a prix spécial pour des permanences prolongées ou pour groups.

Les environs idéaux sont pour des promenades dans une charmante méditerranée campaigns. WIFI est disponible dans toute la maison.

 House renovated from an old millstone which is located in Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, a beautiful medieval village in the heart of Liguria dating back to the 11th century, and a 15-minute drive from the Riviera dei Fiori.
The stone houses of the old town climb the mountain to reach the castle that rises steeply from the Barbena stronghold, 1142 meters high, from which the town takes its name.
The residence, the so-called "Ca du maxin" ( "miller's house"), is a unique in its architectural style: it has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining room, a large living room with fireplace and two beautiful terraces . The house can accommodate four / six people. "Ca du maxin" is situated in the historical center, with great views over the village and the surrounding mountains where silence imposes its presence. The residence can not be reached by car because of the typical narrow lanes (alleyways), but we offer a free storage service from the car park just outside the village. The house can be rented for at least one week (€ 400-600 per week).

The surroundings are ideal for relaxing walks in the enchanting Mediterranean countryside. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

Ein spezielles Haus mit super Host

Man spürt das Alter und die Geschichte des Ortes und des Hauses in jedem Stein. Man fühlt sich wie zurückversetzt in die längst vergangene Zeit. Das ist es, was diesen Ort so besonders macht. Die Highlights des Hauses sind die Dachterrasse mit dem tollen Ausblick und der Ofen mit offenem Feuer in der Küche. Unser Gastgeber hat uns herzlich empfangen und war super bemüht uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen!

Zwischen Bergen und Meer

Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus, in einem mittelalterlichen Dorf in dem man sich in die Vergangenheit zurück versetzt fühlte. Das Haus war sauber und hatte bis auf eine Knoblauchpresse alles was man brauchte. Das mit dem Knoblauch hat dann der Ehemann erledigt. Der Blick von den Terrassen war traumhaft. Die Eigentümer waren immer ansprechbar und stets hilfsbereit. Wir können das Haus an Menschen empfehlen, die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen. Trotzdem sollte man nicht vergessen, in den Bergen geht es immer entweder hoch oder runter, das haben wir schon bei unseren vielen Touren gespürt. Den Grill und den Pizzaofen haben wir oft genutzt. Es waren tolle 14 Tage und wir kommen wieder.

A Week in the ligurian hills

We had a wonderful time at the medieval house in Castelvecchio dRB. The place is located at a lovely small village, wich has two restaurants and a small grocery for daily needs. The sorrunding Area invites you to stroll around, enjoy the quiet Nature or go for a hike. If you drive by Car 1/2h you get to various Beaches and larger Cites worth a visit. At the Place itself you you will find a well equipped Kitchen to serve even bigger Groups, our Highlight was the Stoneoven for preparing Pizza. You can enjoy the panoramic view via two terraces, and take a refreshing shower on the upper one. We had the luck to see a deer family right next to the house, they were around for a few nights. If you are into cooking and nature you will definitely like it here, just mind your head due to the age of the Village, some Doors are low. Thanks to Eugenio (and Federike) for the kind hospitality and fluid communication at all times!

Verry restfull break

A little house out of former centuries in a quite lovely old village. It is placed in the mountains approx. 16 km fare from the Mediterranean see. We have used several times the opportunities for do trekking. In the house itself you find everything you need for daily life. For sure impressive is the view from the terrace and the silence you can enjoy in the area. Check in, check out was happend without issue, Diego and Eugenio are friendly and helpfull.

we had a wonderful holiday. the house is simply beautiful, the place is the right to get to rest. far from the daily madness. the paths in the place are very adventurous in places, you should be good on foot. we knew that and were set to it. eugenio and diego are very great landlords, loving and cordial. and always a tip ready. highly recommended.

A very special place - and super hosts!

We had a fantastic stay in this unique accommodation. Diego and Federica welcomed us at the parking lot outside the old village and helped us transporting our (large!) luggage to the house. The old stone house has been restored in a very charming way, which has preserved the uniqueness of the place, while at the same time the house appears newly renovated and completely up-to-date. The property is in every way very well furnished and well equipped. On top of all this, the house has the most amazing terrace with views of the castle, the mountains and the sunset! As well as an additional large 360 degree roof terrace. On departure day, we were picked up at the house together with our luggage and driven to our car, which was parked outside the small village. What an extraordinary service! Diego and Federica were very friendly, humorous and easy to communicate with. They told us about the history of the house, and were in every way very helpful and informative during the entire stay. We really enjoyed this week and would love to come back another year!

Beautiful Village in the Mountains

We spent 5 nights in Castellvechio and IT was really nice there....the house, the tiny Village, the Hills around and of course the two terrazes. Once WE had a Barbecue in the upper terraze and everything we needed was even there. The communication with Diego and Eugenio was really good and WE recommend this House for nice Holidays in a beautiful and quiet Landscape.

Sehr schönes Haus in historischem Dorf

Wir haben die Woche in diesem sehr ruhigen, autenischen Dorf sehr genossen. Die Umgebung ist voll mit Trails für viele einsame Bike-Ausflüge. Autentisches Haus mit allem was man braucht, ohne unnötigen Luxus. Sehr zuvorkommende und freundliche Vermieter.

Sfeervol dorpshuis met fantastisch uitzicht

Eugenio is een fijne en betrouwbare verhuurder, alles was prima en met aandacht geregeld. Koffers etc. worden naar het huis gebracht. De woning is zoals het er op de foto's uitziet: mooi, authentiek appartement met balkon en terras met beide een fantastisch, panoramisch uitzicht. Alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Bedenk wel dat het appartement niet met de auto te bereiken is en de straten erg steil zijn. Drie eetgelegenheden op loopafstand. Ook voor het appartement zelf moet je goed ter been zijn vanwege de vele trappetjes.

Ein Schatz in den Bergen

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in dieser urig, gemütlichen Unterkunft. Das Haus ist traditionell italienisch eingerichtet mit Möbeln aus Massivholz und mit dem Haus verbundenen Einbauschränken. Von den Terrassen aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick ins Tal und die Außendusche bietet jederzeit eine willkommene Erfrischung. Das Dorf mit seinen kleinen Gassen, steinernen Bögen und freundlichen Menschen hat uns verzaubert. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank für Alles!

Tolles Ferienhaus

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in der wirklich tollen Umgebung sehr genossen. Der Ausblick von beiden Terrassen war wunderbar.Ein wahres Paradies.Leider konnten wir die obere Terrasse nicht nutzen, unser Hund kam zwar mit viel Mühe die steile Treppe hoch aber nicht wieder hinunter.Ein wahres Paradies.Für die Hunde gab es einen Hundestrand in der Nähe.Zu unserer Reisezeit waren die Temperaturen weit über 30 Grad, nachts haben wir aber gut geschlafen.Im Dorf wehte nachts immer eine kühle Briese.Danke Diego, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Some places you just can't miss it

Wat a beautiful place to be and spend your holiday if you like to go back in time. Medieval village, lovely views and great people. The house has everything you need, beautiful teracce with a view at the mountains. You could sit there for ever. Even the fact that there is no TV didn't bother us. We had a great time and new experience.

Gemütliches Haus mit schöner Aussicht

Sehr gemütliches Haus mit schöner Aussicht auf die Berge. Vom Feuerholz bis zum Willkommenswein ist alles da, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Die Kletterspots vom Val Pennavaire sind schnell zu erreichen und zu Wanderungen kann man gut direkt vom Haus aus starten. Kleiner Tipp: In den ersten Tagen auf den Monte Alpe (1056m) gehen und sich den Rest des Urlaubs beim Blick auf den Berg freuen, dass man da oben war. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfbereit.

Wie letztes Jahr einfach schön!

Es bleibt bei der Bewertung vom letzten Jahr - allerdings wurde auf der Dachterrasse eine schattenspendende Pergola errichtet: super! Einige Schönheitsreparaturen und Nachbesserungen sind geplant bzw. in Arbeit, von daher gibt es nichts auszusetzen.
