"The home was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed the small towns in the surrounding area. It was nice to get out of the big city and relax. Home owners where very polite and on top of communication. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for welcoming us in to your home. We will be back in the future."

"We have stayed at the Elkader Jail House many times and the Harstad Suite is a great room for the 4 of us. The large kitchen and family space on the first floor provide plenty of space for everyone to get together and relax. Its nearby my family and takes the stress off anyone needing to make space for all of us to sleep. Its comfortable, clean and an easy to walk downtown. We'll be back soon!"

"This unique place has it all: charm, class, comfort, beauty, and fun. When you first walk in, you are greeted with a gorgeous staircase leading to most of the rooms. Our room was spacious, with a luxurious bathroom. The gourmet kitchen is equipped for anything and everything with seating for eight. The adjoining dining room has a large table with additional seating and windows lining two walls. And clean! This VRBO was impressively clean! "This was the perfect little house for me and my partner to stay at while we fished the driftless area. The tiny is house is adorable and functional. It was clean and had way more amenities than expected - tons of towels, bedding, extra toilet paper, fully stocked kitchen utensils. There is a ton of storage. We didn't use the hot tub but it's private and has a nice view of the river. It was easy to go down the road and buy firewood for fires each night. Hot water on demand and good wifi...

"We imagined ourselves living here during our brief stay! We enjoyed our morning coffee wiith books on the front porch each morning. A deer walked casually up the road and into a neighbor's lawn, never-minding my coming in and out to get my camera. "We were travelling for my son’s wedding.Our stay was fantastic.
