Fern Cliff - A cozy retreat in Cashiers

Enjoy a tranquil weekend in this cozy Cashiers cabin. Located in the sought after Trillium neighborhood, this home is just minutes from downtown Cashiers and a quick drive to downtown Highlands, NC. Here you will find relaxation both inside the home and out with an expansive outdoor pavilion. The main level includes an updated kitchen, large dining room, living room, half bath and the primary suite. Up the stairs you will find a remote working area and three additional rooms - one king bedroom with a shared bath connected to the bunkroom (4 twin bunks that are only accessible through the king bedroom- ideal for families with kids!), and a full bed with en suite. Outside offers a covered pavilion with seating, fireplace, TV and deck with gas grill. Guests have access to the two car garage as well as two additional parking spaces outside. The ground floor includes a washer & dryer as well as a bonus sleeping area with two twin beds. During the high season, guest can purchase passes to use the Trillium facilities including the gym, tennis courts, croquet, golf, swimming and dining. Firewood delivery to the home is also available through Trillium.

The fireplaces were amazing. Actually best part of the home. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of this home. There were cobwebs in all of the corners, including high corners, crumbs in many of the cabinets, and visible debris and hair on the couches and beds. The cleanliness was poor enough that I felt the need to place blankets over the furniture before sitting down.The dryer barely worked and required multiple cycles to dry even small loads.Additionally, the sleeping arrangements were misleading. The bunk bedroom is only accessible by walking through another bedroom, which should be clearly disclosed. The so-called fifth bedroom in the basement is extremely small, located off the laundry room, with barely enough space to move, no storage, and is not a comfortable or desirable bedroom.Overall, the lack of cleanliness was the biggest issue and made the stay very disappointing.

We stayed here with my family, my parents and my brother's family. We were a large group, but we had lots of room. My favorite spot was drinking coffee in the morning with a fire in pavilion. Great house. Thank you

12 of us in the house - 6 adults and 6 kids, ranging in age from 5-9. House was clean, kitchen had everything we needed. Easy communication, easy check in and check out. Outside fireplace and Tv were much enjoyed! Outside space for kids to run and play.

Beautiful house and great location!

Very easy checkin and check out processes with good, clear communication from owner. House was beautiful with a VERY well stocked kitchen….we had everything we needed! Location was perfect in a great neighborhood with an easy drive to Cashiers and Highlands. The only thing I will note is that you have to walk through the upstairs king bedroom to get to the bunk room. It was fine for our group but just something to be aware of :) Overall, great property and we would definitely rent again.
