The living areas in this property consist of an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and a utility. Appliances include an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV, and a woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of two ground-floor doubles, one with en-suite shower, and a mezzanine-level twin, serviced by a bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard to the front, along with off-road parking for four cars. Within 0.9 miles, you will find a shop, and within 3.1 miles, a pub. Please note, this property welcomes one well-behaved dog, but is non-smoking. Fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels are all included in the rent. Highchair and travel cot available on request. Enjoy a memorable stay in Ireland at Old Mike's Cottage. Note: Steps throughout the home, may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Town: The popular town of Westport offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, pubs and bars, and is alive with traditional music and rich Irish heritage. There are also good fishing rivers and lakes within easy reach, including the Erriff River, approximately three miles away, the Delphi River, approximately six miles away in the Doolough Valley and Moher Lake with boat rental four miles away. For those who enjoy a good walk, nearby, Croagh Patrick awaits with invigorating hikes and stunning views. There are also mapped mountain and forest walks locally, including the Western Way and Tawnyard. For a memorable day trip, why not head south into County Galway, just over half an hour’s drive away, with magnificent coastal scenery and the world renowned Connemara National Park?

Absolutely lovely old cottage - it's been beautifully renovated. The location is excellent - perfect if you are looking to explore South Mayo and Connemara, but also less than 10 minutes to drive into Westport. To top it off - the host is very friendly, helpful, and responsive. Genuinely one of the best holiday rentals I have booked.
