"The place was as advertised. There was one lamp in the living room that's cord ran under a chair to a socket. The socket didn't work, so i rerouted to a hallway socket at night. Everything else worked perfectly fine. The beach was spacious and the house was nice. "

"Our stay was over and above all expectations! The house gave off positive energy and the surroundings are breathtaking. It was spacious and cozy. We especially loved that all of us were able to gather for cooking and sharing meals around the big table with plenty of seating space. From the sunrise to greet you, the majestic horses, the beautiful ocean with dolphins swimming by and the amazing sunsets to end the day. We all had the time of our lives and can’t wait to enjoy another fabulous...

"Have stayed in several places in Carova, this is one of our favorites. The house was very clean and had ample space and amenities. Communication from the owner was great. Plenty of privacy and is on the south side of Carova, so it's closer to the 4x4 access. Would stay here again."

"What a cozy, rustic and charming place for a romantic getaway in one of the most untouched pristine beaches on the east coast. The hosts were very attentive to prepare you for your trip. You had the canal and kayaks ready for touring. I loved the decour and there were plenty of snacks in your care package. When you are going make sure you rent a real 4X4. This is all natural beach access. Your city suv will get stuck. There are plenty of jeep rental places available. Enjoy the adventure!"

"we enjoyed this vacation and was so grateful to be allowed to have our pups. we were a little disappointed the upper floor had no AC which is where the kitchen is. However we slept awesome on great a great mattress at that floor was air conditioned. The AC was repaired about 5 th day we were there because they, AC contractors, were so busy after a storm that had come through. Overall excellent stay and will come back!!"

"The ocean views from this house are breathtaking. Each morning began with sipping coffee and overlooking the ocean view complete with dolphin sightings daily. We had 3 families of 4 with us so it was nice that each bedroom came with its own bathroom. The kiddos LOVED the pool and hot tub. The adults loved walking the beach. The host was very friendly and answered my messages quickly. We had a wonderful vacation."

"This was a perfect spot. Two of our 3 children leave the nest this summer/fall, one to basic training and one to college, so we wanted a quiet spot w/ lots of opportunities for family fun and time together. This was perfect. We spent every waking moment out on the canal or in the yard. The SUPs & kayak were used daily. Our youngest was on the water every chance he got. "Wonderful OBX experience with a cool house that allows you to park on the beach. We saw horses multiple times and the house had everything we needed. The lack of linens (sheets and towels) was odd, we don’t have some of the sheets for those size beds. But the place is remote so help is hard to find regarding cleaning and laundry so we get it.
